Malchor's Leap
There is nothing wrong with the amount of mobs. In fact, I’d like to have a few more. Dang I love AoE…
People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.
Its not the number, its the respawn rate.

Whats wrong with the respawn rate?
I hear a lot of people complaining about it, but I can’t really figure out what they are talking about. O.o
I play in Orr 90% of the time I spend ingame lately.

You just can’t run through orr like you can other areas. Once you adjust and actually start killing stuff as you go it’s really not that bad.

Orr is supposed to be completely held by the enemy, more or less. The fact you must fight your way across the map makes sense.
Orr is fine, please stop complaining for a easy mode, if you want easy mode, go play COD on… any difficulty really….
But anyways, as others have said. This. Is. Orr. You aren’t in Lions Arch anymore, there are enemies afoot. If you think this is bad, try Cursed Shore events, where an entire mob group is capable of throwing out at least 10 different stuns, pulls, knockbacks, cripples and chills on a sinlge character, granting instant death if you aren’t built with decent toughness and mobility.

Orr is NOT fine. Fun should NOT have to make place for ‘sense’. Nobody wants to play a ‘sensical’ game. People want to play a FUN game. And Orr is NOT fun. I’m glad I have only one last zone to finish in Orr. It’s one of the worst things in-game.

It’s fun to me, having to wade in and fight for every inch, nothing handed to you on a silver platter. THAT is fun.
Same, when I get bored I solo the Champ giant or see how many trash mobs I can gather and kill at once. If its challenging and youre not having fun (as much as I hate this phrase, Im going to use it), then honestly, you’re doing it wrong.
I agree with the OP…
Densely packed mobs fine. Respawn rate is hell though. Oh look, you just cleared the 30 meters between you and the skill point? Enjoy fighting your way back out as all have respawned back.
It is a botters dream. They don’t even have to move. just plant the guy in one spot with a few bots and farm forever.
by level 80 should have the best statistical loot in the game.”

Waiting for other players to group up is a waste of time. Fighting foes with a huge agro and crazy fast re-spawn rates as a solo player due to the circumstances becomes really frustrating.
So in the end is a choice of running around or getting armor broken and a lot of teleportation until you are a useless character: no gold. no armor no groups.
GW1 heroes should make their way back into the game
Its not the number, its the respawn rate.
Completely agree. Many zones have this issue, but in Orr it’s more evident because mobs are tougher.
I think respawn rate should be somewhat linked to the ammount of players in the area. This way, a lone player gets some breathing space, while groups do not have the easy life they currently have. Going through Orr with a 5-man team is trivial.
lololol I know the pain.. luckily I am a Thief and have handy a few run speed buffs and a nice ability to avoid aggro if you know what I mean +wink +wink.
So why do we choose to ignore it?
Really, I think the problem is that it sounds like your trying to solo in Orr. The higher level areas are going to be more designed for groups to do rather than a solo player.
This game was designed to be a group game, not a solo game. Yes, I’ve been to Orr solo and have noticed the respawn rate is high but that adds to the challenge; If we could all do this stuff solo with little to no issue, there would be no sense of trying to make friends with people to get through everything.
This is almost like saying “I’m gonna take on an invader zerg solo in WvW and kill them all by myself”
