For the hardcore explorers who are trying to “100% the map”, it can be a little frustrating sometimes to remember all of the areas that you have completed and the areas where you still have events. Warping to an area just to see if you have completed it or not can become very expensive, and time consuming.

I propose that when you open up your map, areas that you have “100%” in should be shaded a light or transparent green, or have a simple percentage number below the area name to indicate the amount of things in that area that need to be finished.

For example:
Lion’s Arch
(87% Complete)

I think this would be a nice simplistic implementation to the already very useful map.

I also do not think it would cause an unfair advantage to anyone playing the game, as this mainly only affects people who want to/or care about map completions, and could easily be turned on and off under the maps legend just like shop vendors for example.

I think this would be an excellent thing to implement. I have been pretty slow on my progress for 100% completion and I can’t tell you the amount of times I have gone to an area that I thought needed a few more poi’s or something, only to find it was 100%

Yes, I agree. When you zoom out far enough on the map it should show which zones are complete. Or even, show up the completion status for each of the individual things – i.e. POI/vista/etc
