On topic, yes it would be nice to actually be prompted with the motd somehow, though maybe just in chat.

I think having the MOTD pooping into the chat at login time would be perfect.

Also, I think guilds need a place where they can publish the guild rules of conduct or vent info, that sort of thing.

The MotD should be the the 1st thing that appears in the Guild chat window when you log on. It should be able to contain a clickable link
