Long title, but the green mining picks don’t give you much of a clue as to what they can mine and I’ve ruined some ore trying to figure out what I can cannot mine with them.

thats not the dispointing part, you can mine with them up to mithral, but you can not mine orehalcon ore, which does not make any sense,

They are not a single item. They are several ones.

They should add an extra word to their names: “Master Copper Minning Pick”, “Master Mithril Loggin Axe” etc.

Totally agree on this: at the moment I have in my inventory 2 of each master tools – I have no idea which is up to what “tier” apart from failing and trying on a lower node. That’s stupid and it could be easily fixed since they are 100% sure different items from the game’s point of view. It’s just a matter of name + description.

The pick seems to summon at the level of whoever opened the chest. So a level 80 characther get “ori” master mining picks while a level 2 gets copper.

Agreed. As a side note, I had 2 sets of Master Harvesting tools. 1 set worked on high end mats and the other did not. There wasn’t anything different in the description. I got them in two different story line quests. Wish I could tell you which set was from which quest, but alas I can not.

I don’t take chances and just use them for copper. Trying to keep track of the different tools needed for each tier is a pain in the backside already. The ambiguous descriptions for these things don’t help.
