What gives with the headgear available to medium armor wearers ?

Its either a pirate hat or bandit mask ! Yes there are a ‘few’ others Ive seen, but they are rare as a three legged rabbit and as for Karma items… rofl… sorry could’nt help myself !

Cloth and heavy armor players have a much, much wider choice of headgear so give us some lovin A/net

I found the medium armor I was seeing to be pretty derivative and lackluster, all the way from 1-80. Most of the +70 gear I was seeing were indentical in appearance, to the stuff I was getting from 1-15. I even bugged it once, when I purchased a level 80 breathing mask from a quaggan karma vendor, and it ended up being another bloody bandit mask. When I previewed the heavy and light versions, I found that those were quite unique and actually looked like they should be used under water, not to rob a stage coach.

And then there are the longcoats. I never saw a medium armor chest drop that wasn’t a longcoat. The only time I wore something different was when I was using the T1 sylvari cultural armor.

The medium armor designs have been extremely yawn-inspiring.

I just wish the bandit masks would at least wrap around my characters head.

There was this helm I got as a quest reward (called a Trooper’s Mark) that I thought looked pretty cool. You might want to investigate what headgear has a similar model.

The way that I dealt with the issue is i keep transmuting my starting hood with my 80 gear.

I tend to feel the same as the OP about medium armor in general. As a level 60 Ranger, I have yet to wear anything that felt “Rangerish”…it seems my choices are Pirate, or Thief.

How long must we wait before we start seeing some influx of statless vanity items of greater variety added to the game via Drops, vendor purchace, gem purchace, or crafting…preferably all of the above.

I don’t mind balancing issues being delt with off line from the appearence, love the dye selections, the transmutation stones are a great idea, now just give us some cool options to play with…I haven’t yet looked at my character and thought how cool they looked…we can buy 2 different top hats, 3 different glasses, boxxing gloves, stocking cap, baseball hats, but we can’t get any more items that look like they actually belong in the game? come on now.
