I am currently having issues with memory while I play the game. If I travel too much the game will eventually crash. Most of the time during a boss fight, due to the amount of players and their data, which is very annoying. I can’t usually reload the game fast enough to get credit for the kill, thus losing any chests.

Now, I may be the only one with this problem, but I do not believe that I am. The cause of the problem is that I am using Window’s Vista. Vista will only recognize 3 or 4 GB of Ram. I have 16 GB. With only a small amount being used, it fills quickly, and then my game crashes.

I’m not asking for anything in the game to change. All I am hoping for is a button command that will tell the game to dump all memory not currently in use. Mainly any memory of other map locations I am not currently in. This will allow me to play with no more worry that my game could shut down at any minute.

Oh I feel your pain, haha. Although my problem is that I’m only running with 3 GB of memory – I have a dinosaur for a computer. xD This button would be amazing.

24 gbs of memory :-) Needed a few gbs to look down and smile.

Odd…I’ve only got 4GB of ram and have never had this problem. Ever. I’m playing on a laptop, and while I admit I don’t even try to run at particularly high settings, everything is smooth and I haven’t had a game crash since around launch.

Perhaps you need to shut off some of your background processes? Or just upgrade your PC as soon as possible; vista is an awful, awful thing and if you actually look most games have higher requirements on vista (example; Dragon Age Origins needs 1gb ram on XP, and 1.5 on vista).

Its something I can deal with I suppose. It has become more frequent just because I now have 5 characters that I cycle through quite a bit. If I just stick with one character during a session, it does not happen that often. I would love to upgrade my computer, but Windows is not cheap. To just dump $200 on an operating system, for one game, is not justifiable.

Buy the 64 bit OEM license for about $100 bucks…. Never buy a 32bit OS if you intend on doing any gaming on the machine. Seriously, putting 16GB or RAM into a 32 bit machine was more a waste of money than buying Windows again.

Hi OP, check you graphics settings and see if you have “Best Texture Filtering” on. I had this on and it was causing a lot of crashes. I turned that off and instantly no more crashes. Win7 32 bit.

64bit Windows is a better long term option though because you get all the shinnies

I have never had any crashes with this game. Ever. And I have been playing a lot, everyday.
