Mesmer Main Hand Pistols
Sounds like it would be a bit OP to me. Quicker cool down on magic bullet, basically 2 duelist attacks (yours and the phantasm) plus AOE damage with knockdown and daze? I play mostly Mesmer but in your scenario I think that’s asking for a bit too much. Plus Mesmers already have a pretty decent selection of weapons compared to some other professions.
It could always be scaled down i’m not a dev I just thought it was a novel suggestion to base a main hand pistol on.
What i would like to see. The offhand skills would remain unchanged as this would mean that it wouldnt change up X/Pistol combos
Auto Attack:
Chain 1: Fire Shot X damage plus Bleeding(2stacks, 1 second)
Chain 2: Fire Shot X damage Plus Bleeding(2stacks, 1 second)
Chain 3: Fire shot X damage Plus Confusion(1 stack, 2seconds) Plus Range Clone
Not quite sure what the 2nd skill could be though
The 3rd one could be different depending on the offhand used example:
Pistol/Pistol: Blistering Barrage – AoE attack, Fires both pistols for X number of seconds causes random conditions to those damaged
Pistol/Torch: Blinding Shot – Fire shot at target, Stealth for X number of seconds and then fire a shot that blinds target upon stealth exit
No. They’re casters and they should only “dabble” in the pistol category. Also, then there would be three professions with 2 pistols which would mean there would be more professions with dual pistols than there would be with a shortbow, longbow, and rifle. The Mesmer’s Magic Bullet already overlaps too much with the thief’s IMO (it was even called Trick Shot at first). But I’m not sure what new weapons would be good if they were to add weapons >_>
