The current meta on populated servers appears to be: ‘2-3 players who’ve not seen content x do the event, which triggers another event, etc… Until the final boss appears’ followed by ‘hyper massive Zerg swarms in and kills the boss’, ending with ‘Zerg commander calls out a waypoint, and the hyper-massive Zerg is gone, leaving only bits of monster parts lying around’.

My issue with this is the play style. People arn’t experiencing the content, they’re swarming specific bosses as they appear and moving on to the next boss… That’s exploiting the content. Sure, it works for some people, but for those that want to experience tougher content, the Zerg is content to not bother helping. The Zerg often isn’t aware that pre-event x will spawn a champ in every wave… If the players just deign to show up in sufficient numbers.

I’ll be honest, I don’t like the solution, but I’ll put it out there, if you all have better ideas, please speak up.

Rather than yielding full meta-event reward for being there for the last 30 seconds of the final event, reserve one of the reward chests for players that participate in the larger meta event.
