Guild Wars 2

When I’m on DR or do not feel like pvping, farming, etc. I just want to chill around town. I know we have jump puzzles and diving boards, but it’d be awesome to have more mini-games around the place! Wouldn’t mind having a mash button fest against other people for a drinking contest or maybe a trebuchet accuracy contest. Can’t really think of great ideas because I’m not a game designer, but something to kill time in game outside my armor would be nice. Then I’d actually would have a use for my town clothes to do these more casual activities.

I’ve been thinking that ANet needs some of these myself. There’s already dynamic events. How many different things can we fit into that framework?
DE dance party? Races? Teaching all those kids in Lion’s Arch how to behave when being escorted?

I’m (kind of) serious about that last one. Everyone gets frustrated with escort missions, so how many would like a chance to teach NPCs how to behave when being escorted? Then we have a ‘final exam’/escort mission to get the kids home, and everyone gets some coins and food from the kid’s parents.

Lion’s Arch has a ton of restaurants, and chefs need something to do with their craft… “Oh no, flu has hit the cook and servers at that bridge tavern over Trader’s Forum. Quick, Bob the restaurant owner needs everyone to come cook/fetch food/take orders!”

It counts as a PvP mini game not a single player mini-game

Well, I never said it didn’t count nor am I discrediting any forms of mini-games. I just would like to see more casual things we can do. :O

I really would love more multi-player/PvP mini games. They’re just so fun :-)
I had a lot of fun with the Halloween mini-game.

The rewards should be better though – i.e. rare crafting materials, bags with many slots and armor with cool looks – vanity stuff.

There should also be a mini-games ladder where you can see your daily or weekly ranking, that would be fun as well.

There’s clearly a race track in LA ready for some Moa racing. Hopefully added soon :P
