I’ve been talking to a lot of my guild lately about things we wanted to go on sale this weekend and Mini-pets came up as the number three thing behind bank and character slots.

Most of my guild loves vanity pets, myself included, but most of us don’t feel the need or want to buy them in this game because of the way they’re handled in both storage and inventory.

A “simple” suggestion came up that I thought I would bring here to get your take on: Remove them from the bank collections and add an account wide tab to the Hero screen that we can use to activate them.

Other games have done similar things with their vanity pets. The ones that immediately come to mind are Champions Online and WoW; both have a tab on their Character sheets for them.

I know for myself I only have the Mini Rytlock that came with my CE who never sees the light of day and I have no points in the Miniature Collection achievement simply because the minis take up an inventory spot. If they were in their own tab that I could access anywhere I’d have purchased several by now. In their current state I just don’t want them, even though I love collecting them.

Google brought me here :P but i agree. This is pretty much a MUST for anyone interested in minis. Id also like an equip slot for my fave one so it can always be on show.

I couldn’t agree more with you guys, a mini tab in hero screen is a MUST. Every other game has it. Please Arena.net give us the mini tab. I just lack the motivation to spend money to buy them because I have to keep them in my bag. Hope it won’t take you to long until you put that feature online, because when it hits online more people will spend money to buy minis.

Yes please, the current mini set up is driving me crazy, I love minis but yea the way it is now, they just sit in the bank mostly.

I completely agree. I love minis so much that I find myself carrying around an invisible bag full of them so they don’t accidentally get banked.

100% agree. I have a couple minis, but I always forget to use them because they disappear when I die, waypoint, etc. They sleep in an invisible bag at the bottom of my inventory and it’s a hassle to pull them out every time.

+1 to this. I love minis I really do. But wont really find myself buying because of how they work. I adore my HoM minis, but they very very rarely see the light of day, it gets annoying that it disappears all the time.

Completely on board with this idea. I do not think the way mini’s sit in storage now is horrendous, but it does stop most people from having theirs around and out – which is the idea of them.

This is a wonderful idea. I have a lot (mostly the special event ones), and being able to easily access and bring them out would be great. It would make it so much easier to show off your collection as well, instead of having to tote them all around!
