Minis to be used for Polymock?
yes this would be nice, and like you say, minis are totally useless right now, we really need some kind of auto-equip slot, or this, or anything else that reworks minis, or im going to quit collecting them fully, its just a pain/gold sink for an icon in my bank right now.
mini’s, even in gw1 (w/ the exception of the hall of monuments, which was REALLY late in the game) were always useless, just a personal reward item if u liked that kind of thing

Q: Will Polymock come back as an activity in Guild Wars 2?
John Stumme: The original version of Polymock was one of those instances where we had something that we really wanted to be able to do, but we weren’t able to see it fully realized in Guild Wars. Polymock was one of Colin Johanson’s side projects during Eye of the North. He envisioned it as something that was fully turn-based, a very different game unto itself. It would have played up the collectible element, and the meaning to bringing different pieces into the game. Unfortunately, that wasn’t something we were able to do at the time with the resources we had, but it is something we can do with Guild Wars 2. So if you see Polymock making its return, it will be in a more robust implementation, to reflect what we had always wanted it to be."
I barely touched polymock in GW1, however I would love to see it come to it’s full potential in GW2.
Also remember there was a GW1 Card game.
(As an old school MTG player I would love this)

It would be nice to find out something new about this. Anet
I think it would make you about 20% cooler. – nods to J.S.

Very true, but there, we didnt pay real life money for minis, we didnt get as much minis for completing stuff as we do now.
Now we are literally being thrown minis to our head, Ive collected like 6 in the last month just in achies/living story stuff.
The truth is, in guild wars 1 they had no function and it was fine, also more acceptable because rendering everyones mini everytime all the time was probably too stressing for the core of the game and what it was build on.
But in guild wars 2, they seem to really stress the importance of minis more, Importance is the wrong term, but I cant think of any better. Every living story we almost always have a mini pack in the gem store, + one or two (like with the elections) from achievements, + getting for birthday.
What I am trying to say is minis are way more present in gw2 then in gw1, and this seems like an obvious choice by the developpers. Therefor they should also upgrade their functioning or mechanics, so we can at least enjoy it a little bit more then just having it sit in bank, like it did for the majority of the time in gw1.
Even an auto equip slot, or polymock, would be a great improvement and would actually make getting as much new minis as we do now with the living story interesting and fun and exciting again. Now im just showing off my liadri for 1-2 days then its going back to the bank forever I guess, and next week ill show off my queen jenna a little bit and put it in the bank after that as well… Or carry it with me, but never care enough to actually take it out.
Point is, you cant compare gw1 & gw2 mini mechanics wise imo, because in gw2 minis are way way way more present.
OMG I just found this as well. I am not familiar with guildhead so if anyone has more information on this please by all means share

*Edit – This is probably a fake upon further inspection.
Also from Beta here are some Mini’s I don’t think we have access to yet
