I want to first start of by saying I think this game is amazing. But i do feel the game could use some minor changes by minor i literally mean minor changes that would take almost no effort to do.
First toggles
This game has a hud that is so large and in your face I think it needs toggles. What do I mean well make the quest log at the upper right have toggles. I don’t mean make the quest smaller i mean make the quest log disappear altogether or at least make it shrink to a more compact icon. Like hit the button and the quests disappear and hit it again and it reappears something simple like that. Same goes for the minimap make it toggle. Why am i asking for this well. Lets say i’m in a dungeon I don’t really need the minimap or quest log there. Its something i’ve never really used in one. Yea i get it but the quest log tells you what to do in dungeons. Fine you’re right it does but this is why its an option personally I have done AC so many times I can do it in my sleep why do I need a quest log. Again this is for people who want to use it if you don’t well don’t use it.
Second Map and toggles
While on this topic add map toggles what type well its simple. Party dot toggles make these dots have a toggle please. You dont understand how many times I couldnt find a point because a party member was on top of it. Also make guild members have dots on the map as well be sure to make these have a toggle as well. Why is the guild ones useful guild missions. Its hard to lead guild missions when you can’t tell where your guild is. And lastly squad toggles makes it easy to see whos in your squad in WvW. Priority order would be simple. Anyone in your party will be the main color next is people in your squad than last people in your guild. or somthing like that.
Map
What needs to be improved on the map really only one thing. Favorite waypoints. Please add this. It would make it so easy when i’m on a World boss train. Have a small list appear on a part of the map screen that says favorite points and u just click on that specific point and it waypoints you there. Please be sure to have a toggle.
Also another small suggestion is add text size adjustments. not only to chat but to everything else.. I am legally blind and it is hard for me to see the text in the game. It would be great if you added an option to increase all text sizes. This is something that might not benefit many players but it could help some. also i’m not colorblind so I can’t speak for anyone who is but you should also look into adding support thats if its necessary. like I said i’m not colorblind so I don’t know if you even need it.
I know alot of my suggestions are toggles but adding these simple things could make the game seem a lot less bulky. The current UI is fine it just seems bulky to have all that stuff on the screen that you can’t remove.
