There are some events where you have to escort x NPC to y location and that’s fun and all but I think they should take longer to reset to preserve the immersion factor.
As an example I was escorting two NPCs from the monastery brewery to Bettletun, we got there safely, then I returned to the monastery only to meet the same event with the same NPCs making the same route again.

This is kind of an immersion breaker and goes against the persistent word feeling the other dynamic events give.

I think minor events like this and others similar to the giant worm attacking the Shaemor farm should be fewer and far between to really give a sense of accomplishment when you see one, but instead every time I walk by that farm it looks like there’s a giant worm coming out of the ground. I would’ve packed my stuff and moved away by now if I was that farmer

Yes, the fact that a lot of DE events reset too quickly is a common observation and does break immersion quite a bit. In general it seems ANet has been a bit overzealous with their respawn/reset timers and mob density, obviously concerned players might not have enough mobs to fight.

I hope this will be addressed within the next few weeks when player activity clams down a bit. Then things might start feeling more meaningful. I’ll hold off with leveling an alt until then.

I’ve went hunting with a Norn hunter and we passed his twin (named Hunter), as he headed back to the restart point.

ANet is so concerned that everyone has something to do at every second, on every inch of the world that they plaster it with events, hearts, animals, enemies, etc.

They say they want to encourage exploration, yet the game is always distracting you. Reset rates also mean bots have something to do. Respawn rates of creatures are so fast in places you can’t even get out of the are without spending most of the money you just earned on waypoints.
