This happens to me far too often.

Okay so I’m rapidly approaching the monthly deadline and I need to salvage items. Being a giant idiot that I am, I forget that February has 28 days in it and think to myself “Oh, I can wrap up tomorrow”. Tomorrow comes, and the monthly resets, leaving me feeling like kitten

My suggestion is simple: Add a 24 hour grace period to completing the monthly achievement, and a half hour grace period to completing the dailies. Most of my play time is spent between 22:00 and 01:00 so this flip can be quite stressful to deal with, and I’m sure I’m not the only one to do this.

Better suggestion. Stop leaving things to the last moment. ANet isn’t responsible for the level of your time management skills.

My situation was that the evening of February 28th (in the US) was actually already March 1st based on however ANet counts as their home time zone (I assume GMT). So even though I planned to get on and do the last 10 or so events to finish out my monthly on February 28th, I logged on last night and realized that the game considered it to already be March.

I don’t have a problem with how they base their time zones and such, but even something as simple as installing a “Here’s how much time you have left” or “This Daily/Monthly ends on <date> at <your local time>” seems like they would be in the realm of technological feasibility.

I think it would be more likely and reasonable to provide somewhat of a countdown timer. 24 for hour reminder for the monthly and maybe a 2 or 3 hour reminder for the dailies. I personally don’t need it but, I can see how that would be helpful.
