The suggestion is simple, more rewards for badges of honor in WvW. There are weapons and armour we can exchange them for, but I think we need more, and here are some examples:
— 1 badge of honor in exchange for 5 World XP Points.
This wouldn’t be overpowered as, say you have 2500 badges, you would only get 12,500 World XP Points, or in other words, 2 and a bit ranks (only exchangeable once each rank requires 5000 points or else many people would just put the badges on mules and get tons of bonus chests) – not enough to be overpowered, but enough to be a nice reward if you can’t see yourself spending them on anything else. Not to mention the option would be there at least!
— Guild Wars 1 armour and weapon skins in exchange for badges of honor ranging from 500 -1000 badges depending on how epic the skins are. Fancy wearing some of that Dervish armour? Perhaps Paragon armour? Or even a Chaos Axe or some Chaos Gloves? This would be an amazing updated reward system and I’m sure many players would WvW more because of this :-P
— New ‘exotic’ rarity dyes. These could range from a volcanic dye (make your armour match the volcanus greatsword!), to a chaos dye (get your armour all glowing like the recent radiant gear from the achievement points system), to even a ghostly dye (make your guardian all ghostly and match the foefire’s essence greatsword). Perhaps even a voltaic dye too, to match the coldsnap scepter or voltaic spear in Guild Wars 1.
— New stat armour and weapon recipes. These could range from toughness/healing power/vitality (sort of like a tanky/healing combination) to power/precision/vitality (for more of a ’I’ll hit you hard and still retain a good amount of health’ combo) and more.
There are many more options Anet could come up with themselves. I just think badges of honor need more rewards, especially skins and new dyes – they would go down a treat I reckon. Anyway, what do you guys think?
