When the other profession’s voice-overs specific to their professions were introduced I thought it was a really nice touch, but I was dismayed when I didn’t hear anything specific for my Mesmer.

I know that most every profession gets various skills that they call out like the Shouts, Mesmer Mantras, Guardian Tomes, etc. But I really like the more random variety that don’t require a specific skill be equipped – people don’t even over-hear Mantras.

So imagine my surprise when one day while playing I heard my Sylvari Mesmer say, “I make a pretty good team”. I thought this was hilariously fitting for a profession that literally is a team of himself and I was impressed at ArenaNet’s cleverness.

However, I recently found out that this isn’t anything Mesmer specific but rather just a Sylvari combo-field voice-over, my Necro Sylvari friend says his character says it all of the time.

So my suggestion is: Add more of these, at least one or two per profession that you randomly hear – I’d love to see the “I make a pretty good team” phrase made Mesmer specific and copied for all races and I know other professions could use a little more personalization as well in this area.

Edit: For those who don’t know, some professions have specific voice-overs related to their profession specific abilities. Necros and Elementalists seem to have the most, with Necros shouting “I am death incarnate!” when going into Deathshroud and a wide variety of minion-related comments. Elementalists just shout out a variety of attunement based phrases and Warriors will yell out about their adrenaline.
