More Skills and Another Skill Bar?
One reason I love this game is that it has so few buttons. One reason I quit LotRO was because my minstrel had something like 40 buttons, requiring combo key presses, all useful and necessary skills, and then in an expansion they revamped the class so mightily that I no longer had any idea what did what.
I recommend you play an elementalist or engineer if you want to have to push a lot of different buttons and combinations. The skill in this game comes from knowing -when- to push your buttons, not being a concert pianist.
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind the option for more skills. For example, being able to swap each of the 5 weapon skills to something different.
But adding more bars? That’s never a good thing. It will result in a setting where the average player has to click on the skill icons, making “advanced users”, those with MMO-themed mice, have a ridiculous advantage just from having superior hardware. And then there’s the fact that more skills lead to some skills becoming obsolete and the birth of actual rotations.
And let’s be honest, too many skills, with a few obsolete ones, plus optimized rotations leads to a situation where the game is extremely difficult for a rookie to grasp. And that was one of the reasons why they made Guild Wars 2 in the first place.
Even a glif system to add skills to your current skills would be neat to see.

Seconded. I only played an engineer during beta, so I can’t remember exactly how they work, but with an elementalist, you have access to four sets of weapon-based skills (one for each attunement,) and if you want more options, you have a ton in the conjured weapons skills, which each make their own skill bar.
Elementalists can’t swap weapons in combat, but that’s because they’re just bananas with options already, if you want them.
ok i guess what i was trying to say was allow us to switch up the skills that are currently available to use VIA the weapons. It would be pretty neat to see the ability of customization within that weapon skill bar similar to utility skills
