Okay guys first I would like to ask everyone to be polite, let me know your opinion and more importantly pros/cons/improvements to this suggestion.

Jumping puzzles, dungeons, entire map or area completion, character story, crafting and related achievements are all things I enjoy doing.

I cant help to feel tho that, some of them, could have a nice unique reward for instance, completing all jumping puzzles rewards you an unique mini pet or a non-consumable item that, on a long cool down, transforms you into something nice like an wolf keep in mind this is just an example.

I miss being rewarded with something other than green/blue gear (jp chests) or nice looking gear from dungeons , which are fine but a little more diversity wouldn’t hurt.

Con: I’m aware that giving unique rewards for specific achievements could make some players feel forced to do that kind of content even tho they don’t particularly like it. This is a big con but this kind of “issue” already happens with, for instance, dungeon gear, if you like it you have to run a few runs until you acquire everything you want.

Pro: Further encourages players to explore game content, gives a sense of rewarding for accomplished feats.

This is something I was also thinking about, to make all that wonderful content more rewarding and take players “away” from farming certain events in Orr and running CoF path 1 runs.

The way I suggest doing this is adding an Explorer’s Handbook book (or similar) that is filled when you finish the different puzzles. Once you’ve done all of them at least once all the entries of the book will be active and you can turn in the book to the Tyria’ Explorer’s Society for rewards. Obviously doing every single jumping puzzle is more complex and difficult than just doing a 100% of a single zone (even in Orr) so the rewards should be higher than simple zone completion. This will make JPs more worthwhile and allow players to experience this content, because right now lots of players refuse to do anything than the above farms because “it’s not worth it”

Another idea is to add an other book, like “The Book of Challenges” that contains entries for all the big bosses in the game (like the Boss Achievements tab) but also includes various others, like the Megadestroyer in Maelstrom or the Temple Priests in Orr. Some bosses in dungeons (the optional/skippable ones) can also be added to this list, like Kholer/Troll in AC or Samus in CM p2. Once a player finishes all challenges he turns in the book for rewards, this will give incentive for players to go back and redo content.

For dungeons, a Dungeon Master’s Guide book (same name as the book for Dungeons in GW1) can be used to track progress on all Story and Explorable paths. This book will revitalize story mode as more and more players will find the need (and incentive) to do story mode, as it is now it’s impossible to find groups for Story Mode as everyone wants the explorable mode for the tokens. Doing all Dungeons at least once (the requirements for Dungeon Master title) is I think the hardest thing anyone might try doing in this game. It will be done only by true masters of their profession, and define a character a lot more than the current legendaries we have, I have a lot more respect for someone with Dungeon Master than someone with a Legendary, as the legendaries only need grinding not skill.

As reward for this extremely difficult endeavour, I believe either Ascended pieces or Legendary precursors are the most appropriate.
