So this may sound crazy to some but I really need more bank slots and I already have the max I’m allowed. I hope anet increases the amount of bank slots an account can have but instead of just allowing us to unlock more bank slots I have a suggestion.

For every 5 character slots you purchase, you would automatically unlock a new bank tab with 30 slots just for buying 5 more chars and you would be able to purchase another 7 bank slots under that new tab. In addition maybe also have it open up a new collectibles tab but if that seems too much maybe just the option to actually purchase a new collectibles tab for every 5 char slots.

Either way, please let me spend more money on your game by allowing me to have more bank slots. Thanks =)

You want a free bank tab when purchasing 5 character slots? Whilst I dont really have a problem with that, I have to ask:

Why in hecks do you need that many characters?

Btw, you DO know you can buy more bank slots on the BLTC don’t you?

There are people having fun just playing the starter zones with as many characters they can get. You can’t argue about players’ tastes and what makes them be in game for.

I plan on eventually making a personal guild for myself and then upgrading to the guild bank so I can use it as personal storage.

Just remember that you can’t put soulbound items in the guild bank

I have 2 char at max lvl and 8 low lvls and I already have max bank slots which are all full to include my collectibles. I need more bank slots even if I have to pay for each one, I’m down for that, I just figured anet put a limit for a reason. Therefore by only being able to unlock additional slots with a purchase of 5 extra char first, it makes it more of a necessity plus will make it more for those who are willing to pay for it and more money for anet.

Guild banks only give you 50 slots and I already have 2 small guilds I run and those slots are full and I try not to use them except for food to share with guildies.

Guild stashes have 50 slots, you can get a lot more with a heavily invested guild vault – but that’s not the point!

As a fellow hoarder, I would gladly welcome and increase to the maximum bank slots. Sure there’d be a little more pressure on the servers, but since people do this with guild stashes anyway – it’s essentially more money for Anet from those of us who are willing to pay.

Erm, I just want to be sure you’re aware of something…

You do know that you can already buy additional bank space for your account don’t you? Just click the little lock symbol in the bottom right of your bank window and purchase gems which you then use to buy additional space on the BLTC.

Or are you saying that you’ve already purchased the maximum amount of bank space allowed for your account, and filled it?

I’d say “already have max bank slots” indicates the poster has in fact gem-bought all available space.

Guild banks can expand beyond the initial 50 slots, and you can buy huge bags for all your characters if you have the gold, so that might help with the space issue. I myself have only begun to collect skins, so it’s not yet pressing enough to toss out all those tonics (I might want to be a Moa one day, y’never know). I can see it looming, though, given my long established pack-rat status.

Out of curiosity, how many bank tabs can you buy? I’ve bought quite a few and still have a little icon beckoning me to pay more gems.

I’m a bit of a pack-rat, so I have to agree with the title. That tiny little hole in the wall called my bank is NOT enough for even ONE character, let alone five. While I may eventually be able to expand this space thru gold-to-gem exchange, it’d be nice if I had a little more space to start with, and/or per-character storage for stuff that doesn’t need to be shared (which there isn’t much of, but still).

May hafta do the aforementioned one-man guild in the meantime.

Also, why aren’t certain rare ingredients sorted into the Collection tab like the rest? I’m inclined to hold on to these should the crafting system be improved in the future.

This and the ability to name each tab would be nice…

You can buy bank space by clicking on the little lock icon in the bottom right of your bank space.

Each character should have a personal bank and a shared account-wide one, the shared being the one you can expand with gems.

something that could really free up more space that’s already being taken up; is a new collectible tab for 2nd/3rd stage crafting items.

examples: like in cooking:
roux, soup bases, salt n pepper, cinnamon sugar, pie filling, etc… all these sorts of things take up bag/bank space. would be nice to right click and put it on some cooking collectible tab. same thing for crafting pieces from jewelry making or tailoring.

also besides being able to buy more bank space by unlocking thru teh BLTP; you can also unlock more bag slots in your char’s inventory.
