More interesting and varied Treasure Chests

I hate lotteries, with the risk of being disappointed dépençant my money.
I prefer not even know there is the armor in, I’m not too frustrerais have …
Our money is precious, I do not want to stuff a single bound the shop except for skins.
I prefer to be in the game, and buy goodies Irl!
@Louveepine – 1. It’s already a lottery. 2. He’s not saying there has to be armor in every single chest, he’s saying he’d like to see some nicer items in the consortium chests.
All I can say here is Nexon = Wallet Abuse
I’ll be more constructive. It is in some respects hard to upgrade a chest to be fair to the player but at the same time not pay-2-win. They want you to be conned into the chests by claiming all this amazing loot, but also pad it so its completely unlikely you will get the item with the sheer amount of items in RNG. Value for money is not an aim any game aspires too, actually I lie, GW1 monetization had integrity no needless items in the store, no lottery, you had what you could buy, and it was all extras, reasonable prices, reasonable items, and account wide benefits why they moved away from ‘fair and balanced’ i’m not sure, but be kitten sure we will have the ‘wintersday chests’ too cause thats basically the unimaginative nature of the lockbox system.
I would personally love to see the removal of the BL chests, or any grab bag/gamble box from the game, and re-introduce chests and lockpicks/keys like we had in GW1.
Louveepine and Sernius; it doesn’t seem like a realistic prospect for them to remove chests from the game. My impression (and assumption) is that they provide a good deal of revenue, which for better or worse means they’re here to stay. It is in that light I wrote the original post, as a suggestion to improve the experience. If they instead improve the gem shop immensely and add a bunch of items, I’ll wave my flag in celebration too, but if my two choices are there being a lottery and 1) me hating it or 2) me improving it, I’ll choose door number two. Call me an optimist, but I’ve not given up on ArenaNet’s willingness to create an amazing game or desire to listen to their customers yet. Not all suggestions are heard, let alone implemented, for very obvious reasons, but I’m still going to try.
