Lets face it, right now, most enemies are boring. You bring them down with DPS and be done with them. Adding more CC to them just made people QQ. So, what do I suggest?

*Add high-toughness enemies that take a long time to kill with just damage to make conditions valuable.

*Add more enemies with a lot of boons or conditions to make boon and condition removal valuable.

*Add enemies that move in groups and utilize group tactics.

*Make all enemies attack faster. Seriously, most open world enemies are trivial because they barely do anything, and the only thing making most dungeon enemies any harder is that they deal crazy damage by comparison. Confusion and retaliation are laughable in PvE, because the enemies barely attack at all

With these changes applied to every area of the game, in open world, dungeons, fractals, WvW, PvE would be more challenging, more interesting, and most importantly, more fun.

Some people might disagree with me, but I find the veteran Karka in Southsun Cove to be exactly the kind of enemy endgame zone should contain – challenging, and requiring some thinking and specialization (boon removal, stun breakers).

Only fools and heroes charge in without a plan.

TL;DR:
I agree completely. We need more variety in all aspects of mobs in open world.

Longer:
I’m all the way with it but there was topics like this, I also made one and it seems that ppl are not interested at all in discussion.
I know that a lot of things require polish and additions so it’s understandable that it may be a long shot before we see some improvements but I don’t know why no one wants to talk about these changes.

For me roaming in Tyria is super relaxing, because of beaufitul environment and music but after a while beating single mobs who do nothing is getting boring.

What I’d like to see:
- groups of mobs with different roles – dps dealer, tank (plus CC), healer, aoe dmg dealer, etc.
- more variety of mobs (so new mobs and new variants)
- new behaviors, new situations (pack of wolves hunt deers, bears attack villagers as not a part of event, etc.)
- more skills for mobs and with different variants, different abilities – one type of spiders bind you in place, other cripple, other poison, other, very fast (blade spider) just kick #$@# out of you

Besides:
I wanna see more “visible” enemies, more meaningful – like oaks. Big beasts which just live in the world who pose a challenge if you would like to attack one. Most enemies are as big as our characters, they don’t stand out (hate risen, they are dull as $#$#$).
