More siege options in WvW- ideas inside
I personally love the idea of the laser! There could be a lot more implemented into WvW and idea like this would make it much more strategic and take more away from the zerg mentality. Very creative!

Wonderful ideas! Personally, I love the Skritt Big Bomb idea. Seeing a group of enemies standing around a slower moving enemy, you would know that they have a bomb! They would become a threat, and thus become a desperate target. It would be the job of the bomb carrier’s protectors then to hold off the enemy until the bomb is planted. Haha, that sounds like great fun!
Teraphas I like everything you suggested. And I am a bigger fan of WvW over PvP.
Love the ideas. Especially the events.
Add capture points with moats (and therefore drawbridges), and you could add Grappling Hooks and Flame-Powered Pullys:
Grappling Hook
Creates a walkway from the launcher to the castle wall. The actual grapple itself will have a healthbar. Destroying the grapple will cause the player to fall.
Flame-Powered Pully
Only usable on drawbridges. Pullys will pull down the drawbridge, slowly over a reasonable period of time. The only way to counter this is to destroy the pully.
I would flesh these out more, but my head is full of mush at the moment.

Grappling hooks could have some possibility but would need specific points that they could attach to in order to avoid over abuse. for example 10 people all putting hooks up on the same 5 foot span, if there is only one grapple point there only one hook could be attached at a time and would lead to ramps going up in workable positions. perhaps instead of calling it a grappling hook maybe come up with some cute asura acronym for a portable telescoping ramp.
As for drawbridges while cool i feel would to it feeling like the only way to breach them would be with this winch/pully. but could have some possibility if tweaked. maybe instead add it as a DoT for gates, with players using the item to pull on the ropes that it attaches to the gate increasing the damage for each player on it.

Support siege
The one i have in mind now would be an asuran ammo manufacturing station
This would only take a little supply to set up 20-30 and would allow the user to create additional ammo types that can be delivered to siege to give it a few shots of special ammo.
This could be implemented in two ways, one is to have it create boxes that players can pick up and run to the siege and apply it. the second is to give it a range and a targeted ability that it focuses on the weapon and applies the upgrade(either in charges or as long as its channeled on it)
The actual upgrades could be along certain types. Explosive, toxic, and electric are my starting ideas(feel free to flesh out others)
Explosive upgrades would vary based on what they are applied to. Trebs would gain access to a shot that hits the ground and pops out several smaller bombs for additional damage(preferably would like to see this geared as an anti personal attack) while arrow carts could be modified to fire out arrows that hit and act like a small minefield, perhaps each shot firing out 4-5 mines that land randomly in a targeting ring the size of the regular attack. Rams could gain a mine field as well or perhaps a boosted damage to its normal attack(the option to do both would be awesome). Golems gain a grenade launcher obviously.
Toxic upgrades would be for only a few items. Rams could gain a toxic fog that they could spray continually until the charges are used up. Golems could also benefit from a toxic aoe centered on them, down side would be to use it they would become immobile and entered their hunkered down box state.
The electric attacks could also add some variance. Cats could launch Pylons that would act as mini Telsa coils, the catch being they would have a very short range for self defense but if you placed 2 near each other say 400-600 range they would form an electric barrier between them that would damage and cripple anything passing thru them. Ballistia could gain a lightning rod like bolt that would hit and cast chain lightning at any target withing close rage
To create some balance each weapon set the depot would make would decrease its health slightly, unlike other siege however you would be able to apply more supply to it in order to repair it. The thought being that you are exhausting the building materials within the depot but adding more supply would give it more raw materials to work with.
there are other ways to apply the effects to additional weapons but these are just some off the top of my head
