Waypoint is ridiculous. If we used waypoint, why even bother with all the fancy fantasy world setting? It’s got no reason to be aside to be an excuse to not implement mounts. They make no sense whatsoever in the lore – assuming someone even take the lore seriously at Arenanet, which seems doubtful considering the amount of contradictory stuffs.

Still. I would be infinitely grateful if mounts were implemented instead of annoying, unstable waypoints.

You are in LA and want to get to Orr to farm before work. You only have 45 minutes to play. You actually want to spend a good portion of that time riding and swimming to Orr instead of using a waypoint?

Waypoints are made by the Asura and function similar to Asura Gates. They perform “magi-matter-transportation”. There’s the lore.
