What? You list three cool reasons to have them, and then say it is not worth it? Cosmetics alone is a good enough reason for me. That’s after all why we have mini pets and costumes.

I want to see Direksone riding around on his Dolyak through the Shiverpeaks. It’s fun, it looks cool, and with custom skillbars for each mount it would be even more interesting. I can imagine it would also be cool if you would sporadically need a mount to traverse harsh terrain. Instead of making mounts cost a ton of gold, they could be distributed for free in certain explorables where they are needed.

I honestly don’t understand some of the conventions that the devs talk about, they say they want to make a revolutionary game but leave out so many essential items in this game, it’s just weird imo honestly, and mounts are just the tip of the iceberg.

Mounts are not revolutionary. I don’t mind smaller mechanical/Steampunk/Asura/magic mounts with the same speed boost as running players. Just make Full speed boost temporary “33%” on mounts too.

If you want something to show off and to care for I would suggest encouraging Anet to revamp their minipet system and or create new minis that fulfill this desire for you, because it is a lot more likely than mounts.

Mounts as entertainment are one thing but I don’t think the game is set up for other game type mounts that significantly increase a players speed.
