I really love that ANet has added a musical aspect to the game with the Unbreakable Choir Bell and would love to see this expanded upon in the future. It is for sure one of the most unique items I´ve gotten in an MMO. Love playing songs on it while traveling. Takes the tedium out of travel, and makes me feel like a minstrel to boot!

Add a whole new venue of progression to the game (heck, to the MMO genre in general) by adding some new instruments we can obtain through quests or scavenger hunts or something.

You could even have cultural instruments that are purchasable with karma like cultural weapons. Like Sylvari=flutes or harps, Humans=fiddles, Norn=bagpipes, Asura=some kind of electric guitar, Charr=horns or drums.

For Fiddles or Bagpipes, you could change the mechanics to have each note be a channeled spell, with each successive note interrupting the previous note´s channeling for a more realistic effect.

You could also add half-steps by adding alternate activations to the notes (similar mechanic to Thieves´ Shadow Trap) perhaps by holding down shift or something. Also, the 1 minute duration needs to go. We´re going to reclick it to finish a song one way or another so the 1 minute duration is a needless annoyance.

I play piano IRL but there´s something about playing music in game that is addicting. Who knows, expand this concept far enough and GW2 might end up being the first MMO to have guilds with virtual bands, heh.

Hey now, bagpipes are awesome :P. Would be fun to get some Norn and Charr together and play Eluveitie´s Inis Mona or Ensiferum´s Victory Song. Lol.

Are you aware of the pipe organ in Ebonhawk? It’s in a 2nd story room only accessible from the balcony at the southern most part of the city, under the Vista. I found it last night and thought it was pretty cool!

Spent a bunch of cash trying to get perminant chior bells for a friend, who actually has musical talent. Never did get them unfortunately. Having easier access to perminant musical items would add alot ore depth to the game world for RP as well, the wandering bard types would actually be able to play.
