Guild Wars 2

I am a programmer and have 1800 hours in game already. please do what i ask and hire me ArenaNet I will be editing my post for cleanliness and additions.

1) renowned hearts should somehow show area circle on map.

2) Skills on cooldown should still be able to change. they become the new skill once cooldown ends.

3) Nameplates of friends should be a different color. Possibly even display my chosen nickname instead, or above character name.

4) Friendly Dueling, 1v1, 4v4, partyVparty, anywhere in tyria.

5) Squad members should show up on map similar(but different) to party members.

6) In-game LFG system, Obviously. (I hear we are getting this soon) it better sort by,,,server, temple, dungeon, map completion, leveling, PvP, WvW…maybe more. it better have join and invite buttons so i don’t have to copy, or (gásp) typë the name into my chat window.

7) Be able to sort trading post by Heavy/medium/light armor.

8) a control button to toggle “camera to mouse lock”,,,holding down the right click button has broken my expensive mouse in 7 months play.

9) Customizable class creations. change to a pre-designed ‘class’ changes weapons, skills and traits(will pay for trait change cost if needed). < this is asking alot

10) Last login, and Last represent regarding guild members.(it’s ok if the info doesn’t exist yet,,,just start recording it from start of implementation)

11) A hero inspection window(including traits)

12) A Real DPS test dummy, that can account for conditions. put me in a room with a chosen NPC for X seconds and record my DPS over the period. you could show graphs and what not.

13) copy from chat window. youtube videos/online guides…duh.

14) Kick and invite party members while i am in WvW. why is this disabled,,,appears to be a bug to me.

15) ability to click-n-drag skills around within skillbar

16) option to constantly show own name-plate.

17) ability to target self.

18 ) ability to target while not in party. (often i find myself needing to de-select enemy while in fight and want easy way to re-target same enemy)

19) permanent free trial, allow newcomers to download client, and make 2 characters. restrict them to starting city and starting 1-15 zone, cannot level past 15, disable Trading post and in game mailing. this is already implemented in many other MMO’s

20) Salvage ascended rings/items for ectos and mats.

21) disable right click targeting, not sure why it exists. left click works just fine.

God forbid you actually type the names into the box. Hard to do and inefficient, with you all the way.

are you talking about #7? sort by heavy/medium/light? yes currently i search then type the names of the set i want to purchase all 6. or maybe you mean #6 the LFG system they should be making,,,yes ive got about 2-3 alt-codes memorized already due to typing in weird names.

15) move skills within skill bar

1) I don’t really see a problem needing a solution, just keep. Too much help makes for more boringness.

2) Seems like a fine option, not essential, but it could be an alright thing.

4) No. Absolutely no. PvP’ing of any kind have no place in PvE, whatsoever. The only acceptable mix is WvW.

8) Wait… you broke the mouse by simply holding right key down? How? My mouse is fairing well although I too hold that key down almost all the time, I barely even think about it. But sure, not a harmful idea.

1) Would be nice to have, but not big of a priority IMHO.

2) Agree, not much of a big deal but would be nice to have.

3) Colors I agree, sort of what they already do with guildies and party members. IIRC you can see their names when selecting them. So far haven’t seen a game (outside of plugins at least) that lets me select nicknames fro friends.

4) I’d rather keep in the mysts. At least in my experience in other games you’d end up with PvErs annoyes with PvPers that keep requesting duels. Or at least if on the open world, keep it to a specific areas (the arena in the black citadel, for example).

6) strongly agree. I’d definitively like to see an in-game LFG, even if it’s funcionally identical to the website with the only difference that it automatically removes listing when parties are full

8) TBH I’d ask for my money back on a mouse if holding a button while playing with it broke it down.

9) Not gonna happen… even if it’s technical feasible, it would be a nightmare to balance, and you’ll have new “FotM classes” all the time.

10) Fully agree. The guild I’m on actually has done two massive kickings – reinviting (second one was to consolidate two guilds into one) to remove inactive players.

11) No, thank you. There are already enough third party places to re-create your build, which isn’t hard to do, if you want to discuss them… and personally I had a bad experience with people demanding achievement, gear and build linking before allowing you to get into a party in other games, I’ve already seen a little of it in this game (“link your zerker gear or get out!!!”), I’d rather not give more tools to allow that.

12) Would be a good idea, and probably not too hard to implement with the dummies that already exist in Lion’s Arch and in the mysts. Just don’t allow to see other people DPS, for the same readon than the above.

14) I’ve done that a lot already, no idea why you can’t. Then again, I’ve usually done it in guild groups, maybe it’s limited to guilds or something, no idea.

1. (trading post search option) – I agree! It would also be very helpful if players could enter specific stat bonuses for equipment searches. This would enable players to search for heavy armor with bonuses to power, toughness and vitality (or whatever weight/bonus) without manually hovering over hundreds of individual items.
