Mystic Clover
i am currently 10 for 16 tries. i have been attempting 2-3/day after doing dailies since the weekend, and have gotten some T6 materials i also need for my legendary.
That’s a nice idea. Not sure of the repurcussions, but having more and more input for a higher chance of output sounds cool. I for one like the recipe even when it fails because I get T6 mats for the other gifts anyways, so I never lose
I think some people would just prefer paying triple of what’s really needed to not go through the RNG system. It can work really well for you were you saved 1/3 of what I pay or someone will have to pay more than triple of the mats because the odds weren’t in their favors. Personally, I wouldn’t mind paying 3 times more for a 100% guaranteed outcome.
honestly; i have no problem with them, im not in a rush to get a legendary, but i have a stack of 20 in my bank that im occasionally adding to for when i do finally go after one, the legendary nightmare (again;imo) is the precursor/lodestone stuff
80 warr [Blaze Steelsoul], 80 ele [Blaze Nightstrike], 80 mesmer [Grim Shatterwhirl]
80 guard [Dusk Grimlight], 80 engi [Flintgear]
Do the 10 stack recipe. I’m currently 3/4 and it’s just luck, maybe try adding some magic find if that effects the forge but I don’t know about that.

tried over 250 times wasnt that bad finaly got my 77 clovers
if you cry about such little dont bother doing your legendary
for the record wolrd completion is more annoying and time consuming then clovers but you see anyone complain about it no becouse its a requierment for the weapons
cant have Anet make everything easy for you people that give up and cry after a few tries
No one here is kittening crying, people like me have the gold and are willing to pay more for a guaranteed result. You’re on target and you are pretty much hit the ratio of 1/3. I just tried over 25 times and only gotten 6. I’d rather pay more for the guaranteed results of going through this headache. It won’t break the system for anet to make us foot up 3x of the original mat for us to get a guaranteed result, if you’re feeling lucky go gamble, if not, pay to win. I just want a option where I can pay to win.
I was 4/20 with the 1 recipe so I changed and went 20/50 with the 10 recipe leaving me at 12/35 ~1/3. They should make mystic clovers pseudo random distribution if they aren’t already. Where the initial chance at getting a clover is somewhere around 15%, but after each failed attempt that number increases by a constant up until 100% after say 7 attempts. This effectively eliminates luck while still maintaining a 33% chance to receive a mystic clover overall. Sure you won’t have those lucky guys that had a 50% chance, but you won’t have people that have terrible 1/5-1/10 ratios either.
I will preach this message from the mountains to the molehills; if you just HAVE to have a system based on RNG, create a baseline! There should be a point where something is 100% guaranteed for success or you’re just going to end up with a lot of disgruntle players whom feel cheated. In fact, from the people I’ve talked to whom have 77 clovers, their reaction to achieving said has never been relief. Every last one of them have found more… “colorful” variants of saying that Anet can either partake in asexual reproduction or greater gluteal osculation. Sometimes both.
Crafting a legendary should be a longterm goal with measurable progression. The Gift of Mastery is a great example of how it should be done. It takes a long time to get 200 skill points, 100 icy runestones, 250 obsidian shards and world completion but each of those steps has a highly visible metric. The only “bad” part is that badges of honor are a random drop (again, RNG sucks) but even that is alleviated by the jumping puzzles being an slower yet consistent alternative.
