The Necro needs more “on death” abilities as well, like corpse explode, marks, wells, a healing burst, sticky ooze (this one could act like the engineers glue gun) or poison clouds that form on mob deaths. I love my Necro, but I find that as a death based class, has little to do with death other than minions.

Death shroud feels too much like another elite form, and the class mechanic should be instead based on things actually dying.

Something like selectable “death auras” where when activated, corpses cause a specific effect in a certain radius.

I also agree, trough it seems like a usuall, “death shroud complain” it is a lot more then that.
The class mechanic is boring, underdeveloped. Trough many wont agree but its also non fitting.
2, The class based on death, cant exploit corpses (besides an useless trait). Trough area effect skills would be harder to use, since corses are not always where we want it, but still. There are many more options.
