Tjegra: 80 Norn Necromancer
Mefitic: OTW to 80 Asura Necromancer
Make it so the Flesh Golem can go underwater please.
Plague form is terrible for Zoomancers…it drops all of your pets when you transform into it.
And then you have to wait for the timer to reset on the Flesh Golem before you can summon it.
what is necromancer?
Surely on track for being the best class in game. :oP
Pretty please fix this!
What about the bug that causes Flesh Golem to become idle and do nothing. Or my new personal favorite in this games standing joke profession: I tried Minions in sPvP and a Mesmer transformed me into a Moa, resulting in every pet despawning with full cooldowns. GG Anet.
Yeah, I pretty much expected this to me a thread about how the Flesh Golem just stands around all the time, not attacking anything. Slightly disappointed.
A swimming Flesh Golem would be a lot of fun. Maybe they’ll add it some day. But currently the Flesh Golem has much bigger issues.
Wow…I have only been turned into a Moa once and didn’t even realize whether or not that happened… Jeeeez…
The not attacking thing is kinda annoying too…it can be forced to attack by hitting your elite skill…but that is a band-aid at best…
The bone minions don’t like to leave my side either I noticed….it is like they are disobeying my command to attack…pfft…
Please fix pets and allow the darn golem to be acquatic because plague form sux for water fights and doesn’t go well with zoomancer spec…
Even the fact that you cannot turn into the Lich underwater is kinda lame…
Though, now that I think about it, four out of five attacks in Lich form are GT based…that might be a bit difficult to do…
Just an FYI, if you have already used the “elite” skill on Flesh Golem, you can still push it to get him to start fighting…even if the timer is going on it.
Or perhaps that is coincidence…
What’s kind of annoying about posting on the forums is that Dev’s hardly ever answer anything other than an account issue…thanks for the two way feedback.
I dont care about the sinking part and all but.. if we could only change the skin of the elite minion.. even if the proccess would be really long and hard i’d do that!
Eh?? What are you talking about Wesnoth? The flesh golem should be able to go into the water as well…just like the other pets. Instead, it disappears and you get stuck with that crappy plague form which ends up killing all of your pets if you use it…
Yeah, I agree that the flesh golem should be able to swim. I hate how simply running into water instantly puts your flesh golem on recharge. In fact, it really is weird how so many elites in the game have no functionality underwater. Its a real shame.
Yeah, I can’t understand how the mechanics of the golem are any different than any of the other pets…
PLEASE FIX!
It also has some attacking problems. sometimes, while i’m killing a mob, it just waits and does nothing.
Yeah, that has been noted as well in the upper portion of this thread, thanks for your input though!
I would love to work with the design team that is in charge of the Necromancer class…this is the only class I play, because I enjoy having pets to do my dirty work.
Someone please rethink the gimping of the golem in water…if the charge skill is what is stopping us from having it underwater, why not make it jump to the enemy instead and do a knockdown AOE when it lands?
It’d be nice if a swimming flesh golem got the ability to whirl on the spot to do aoe damage for a few seconds rather than charge in. Or a skill called “contaminate” that oozes aoe poison to surrounding water. Though i’d see the pros of keeping him as a charger.
Fix this Anet PLEASE!
Yeah, the charge is nice at times…when you need that few seconds to summon another pet…because they take forever to summon… Other than that, the charge is kinda annoying because the golem ends up ooc for several seconds… Perhaps if the “elite” ability it had was changed it could be a swimmer and not a sinker…
Please fix this issue soon!! It is a royal PITA to have to be afraid of water like a puhssy cat!!
ALERT ALERT ANet, pay attention! The Flesh Golem is kitten and needs love! Please make it so it doesn’t disappear when your toe touches water!! ALERT ALERT
IMO they need to buff/AI fix all the minions, it would be very nice to have a MM more playable than what they are now. The MM is ok at best in pve leveling or non events/dungeons, but once you go against a champion/boss those minions are all but useless.
If you playing the minions as a support and they are there just to help give you life and take some agro off you, these are great builds and ways to use them.
But I would like an actually MM build and not a support element. There is no need for 20 minions, having the 3-5 is fine, just make them like the Rangers pet and give use a bar or a base AI that attacks the same thing we do ALL the time and not randomly attack something else, or randomly stop attacking all together.

Going to assume you don’t pvp if you find that skill useless.

Please don’t try to read between the lines; where did I say the skill is “useless”? I said it is nice at times…meaning that it is handy every now and then for clearing mobs for that short break in fighting.

Actually, I find champions that don’t have a massive AOE I can solo quite easily with my pets as distractions…
I like the Flesh Golem’s charge attack. It can be very helpful to knockdown multiple enemies, especially if they are coming at you in a row.
But it is very frustrating that the Flesh Golem gets stuck so easily on little height differences, especially during that charge attack.
I really want the Flesh Golem to also work underwater, and have an underwater charge as well.
This issue exists sort of on Rangers as well… If we have Masters Bond equipped it gives us a stack everytime our pet kills something, up to 25 stacks..
If you touch water and go under, even if you have same pet equipped, it’ll completely wipe the stacks (as it becomes a new pet)
Its bloody moronic… Anet’s kitten pet system annoys me to no end..and its why the Necro and Ranger are looked down on right now concerning pets.
They did a shoddy job with the system..

It is just as usefull in PvE, sending him in first to scatter an enemy pack while the remaining minions charge in after. Pet play is micro managing in the extreme, you need to know where your pets are at all times and when to use their skills in relation to how they are oriented and not yourself, if they changed the flesh golem’s skill I’d be bloody kittened off.
In PvP it is a go to interupt that if used properly can take out an entire group of enemies allowing your group to sweep in behind.
Only problems with flesh golem is it can’t swim, and occasionally does not engage enemies.
