So last night I’m putting together a new build for my engineer and rather than spend a bunch of money on accessories I decide to use some of the laurels I’ve saved up. EXCEPT, not one, but two of the three items I bought had one of the wrong stats on them. Not the end of the world, but still annoyed that I blew all my laurels on the wrong two items. 45 laurels and 500 badges of jumping down the cr@pper because I wasn’t paying attention.

Now I don’t make these kind of mistakes often, but they happen, and its oh so frustrating when they do. Why can’t we have something like a 30 minute time limit from the time of purchase to get a refund on items like these?

Time sinks are ANet’s money makers. The more mistakes you make the more money they make.

Now that the conspiracy theory is out of the way, yes, we certainly need a refund system for Relics/Laurels.

Not only that, but badges too.

I was furious when the WvW exotic gear I bought was level 70. I spent like 1200 badges for stats I needed only to find out after linking it in chat that it was level 70. Why the heck would they sell level 70 exotics with badges of honor? If only I could have sold it back to merchant right after… but no, I was stuck with them.

Refund tab please! Make it like you have 10 minutes to refund a purchased intact item to the merchant for the purchased price. Or maybe like only 90% of gold/laurel/etc. is refunded.

In World of Warcraft they implimented a refund system. You had 24 hours from time of purchase to refund the item so long as you did not equip it, enchant it, or otherwise alter the item or cause it to soulbind. I always liked the idea of it, but thought 24 hours was too long a time. I think we only need six hours, at the most. Ten minutes, as stated above, might not be long enough. Imagine you’re going back and forth between a character builder site and the game, checking items and grabbing stats and such. It may take you twenty or thirty minutes of running back and forth and tabbing in and out. Six hours is plenty of time to ensure that you have looked at it all and swapped characters to double check it and you didn’t get side-tracked because the Maw and SB timers came up one after the other, lol.

Ability is what you can do; Motivation is how much you do; Attitude is how well you do it.

Agreed, badges along with karma. Especially now that the rate you can acquire either of these has been cut by at least 75%. Nerfbat was swung a bit too hard here.
