Nerf Graveling Scavengers in AC Dungeon
Please don’t. They’re the only thing challenging in there. They give you a reason to use cc abilities over raw damage (which works against 99% of the other mobs); if you see someone pinned down, smack the Scavenger in the butt with any form off cc and it will be stunned an additional time because it was knocked out of “pinning down”-mode.
I’ve cursed their name on multiple occasions after a “cheap” death, but I still would be sad to see them go. The only thing I would love see getting removed is their ability to gobble up your Boons, but I’m pretty sure that isn’t happening, ever
Do you even lift, bro?

A lot of CC doesn’t work. Someone filed a bug report on these forums which shows their AOE hitbox will teleport to you if you immobilize them before they attack. I suspect their ridiculously large hit range is caused by the same bug.
They’re not challenging; they’re broken. Literally.
Learn to use stun-breakers.
This isn’t a balance issue with the mobs. It’s a learning experience.

I pretty much consider it my fault if I get pinned, not the NPC’s and not any bugs. (I have no idea if that beast is working as intended, but even a modestly successful team can take it down, as long as they are careful.)
Other than getting knocked down from ridiculous far away when trying to pass a swiping scavenger sometimes, they’re fine. Not much else in AC that can kill you.
Use cripple to prevent them from reaching you with leaps. Or slot skills that gives stability (Warrior / Guardian can activate them after being knocked down) “Fear me!” usually works too.
That 280° shout from Colossus is actually nice, it makes it slightly tougher for casters than for melee classes if you don’t stay at max range.
Getting spam targetted by the spider’s poison and a bad spawn by the ghosts at the end of path 2 is the only thing that you can’t really control.
When you guys (the devs) fix the 280 degree cone bug with the final boss of the AC dungeon, please change the attacks of the Graveling Scavengers. There is no need for them to be allowed to get 3-4 “free hits” when they knock someone down. That almost always end up in certain death. This is pretty annoying, in my opinion for what its worth.
They don’t need to ruin their own game beacuse people don’t understand the basic combat system. Those scavengers should never even knock you down if you know what you’re doing. It’s so easy to see when they’re charging the ability and all you have to dodge is dodge. Simple, no knockdown, no damage nothing. If for whatever reason you can’t dodge, use an interupt, most classes have them. You can also use any block/evade spells (shield stance for warriors for example). If that fails, then use a CC to stun/blind the target. If you still can’t manage that, use a stun breaker when you get knocked down and bam you’re back up again with no death.
Now if you can’t manage any of those, there are 4 people people in the group that have ways to get you out of that ability too if they choose to, so if you play with a group of friends just have them know when you’re down, if it’s a pug then they most likely wont care about keeping you alive anyway.
But having a mob that actually has a chance of killing you isn’t broken, it’s not the games fault if players can’t don’t understand the combat and can’t preform 1 of the 5 things i listed above.
