Almost every undead mob I’ve ever fought seems to be highly overpowered. Not only do they have a ton of hit points but they are fast and therefore very difficult to kite. They also come with a huge variety of poisons and movement impairing effects. And the cherry on the top of the sundae; there are always a ton of them all clustered together. If you find that you’re about to be defeated and you try to run, all you’ll do is run into more undead and no matter where you go there’s another zombie waiting to eat your brains! All this is irritating because I’m trying to get to the level 75 section of my personal story in which I slay the mouth of Zhaitan but the problem is, I can’t get through all the OP undead! The fact that every single waypiont is contested doesn’t help things either. Anyway, I’m done ranting now.

You obviously don’t watch zombie movies. ^^

In all fairness, solo story undead are crazy for some classes. Maybe a little balancing is needed.

The Orrians are the high-level, end-game content. They’re meant to be challenging and hard to get through, because eventually they’ll be fighting against gangs of organized players decked up in Exotic gear.

At level 75, you’ll definitely start to feel the weight. Re-organizing your traits, skills, gear and technique will get you through it eventually.

I suppose there could be genuine balance issues though.

The big problem / challenge of the end-game areas is that nothing is safe. Everywhere else, if you run for not too long, you’ll come across a few passive mobs that will give you a chance to shake your pursuers, or enough of them to deal with the remainder. Orr is the stronghold of the enemy. Why should it be other than it is?!

I’ll admit, I swore, the first session I spent in there. Then I started to adjust my playstyle, and I solo quite cheerfully now. And much more cautiously, rather than imagining I can just race through in a gung-ho fashion. On the Anet-acknowledged broken Engineer, too! Orr is challenging to solo, yes. The last thing I want to see is it being dumbed down. Oh, and no, they’re not all fast. All the brute-type Risen are proper zombie-slow.
