First of all I want all of you to know that THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE PART TO THIS THREAD. Thank you. Okay, i know it is too early for new classes atm but I still love throwing out ideas. This is my idea for a new class. I hope you agree. (INC LONG THREAD, IF YOU HATE WALLS OF TEXT, PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO THE CLOSEST EXIT)

The Dominator:

Background: A mysterious old figure has shown up and has been teaching few people the art of the Dominator for years, but now he has shown his teachings to the public and everybody that wants to know. He traveled all over Tyria teaching people willing to know the art of the Dominator and now there are groups of well trained soldiers that have special abilities now. The Dominator is a light armored class. They are strong on control/damage, but not as strong on support. The main elements of the dominator is force, light, dark, levitation, water, and ice. Sadly, the dominator has the 2nd lowest amount of health and armor but their damage and control makes up for it. The Dominator has a few unique weapon types as well. This class is a variant of necromancer, guardian, elementalist, and new elements. They lack in melee, but are great in medium/long range. The Dominator Its combo fields mostly consist of light, dark, confusing, corrosive, water, and a new one, force.

Force combo finisher effects: If it is triggered by a whirl (for example, Whirling Wrath), then bolts fly out of the whirl combo that staggers enemies if the bolt hits the enemy. (Stagger means that they will be interrupted and have a .5 sec delay in skills.) If it is triggered by a leap (for example, Leap of Faith), then you get a 3 sec aura that gives the enemy 4 stacks of vulnerability for 8 seconds any time they hit you. If it is triggered by a Blast (for example, Mighty Blow), then all enemies near the combo field gets pushed back 400 range (maximum of 10 enemies can be pushed back at a time). If it is triggered by a Projectile (for example, arrows. lol), then the enemy that got hit will be staggered.

Weapons:
MH: focus/scepter/orb
OH: focus/orb/sword
2H: staff

1-5 skills depending on weapon:

MH Focus:

1. (Chain 1): Push. Focus and stagger your enemy from a medium range with your mind. (Chain 2): Push (x2). Stagger your enemy twice from a medium range with your mind. (Chain 3): Mind Jab. Finish the combo with a powerful attack to the enemy’s mind, giving yourself one stack of retaliation for 1.5 seconds as well. (All 3 chains are range 900)

2. Chilling Intent: Erupt an ice spike from underground hitting up to 5 enemies in the target area, chilling foes for 2 1/2 seconds. (Range 900, Cooldown 7 1/2 seconds)

3. Dark Mists: Lay down a wall that will apply fear and poison for enemies that walk through it. (Combo field Dark, 12 second cooldown, Range 900)

OH Focus:

4. Debris Storm (Channel): Use your levitation powers to channel a storm of debris around you, blinding and bleeding foes every 1 1/2 second they stay in the storm. (Combo Field: Smoke, 20 second cooldown, storm lasts 6 seconds if you channel the whole duration, Radius 250, Blind/bleed lasts 6 seconds.)

5. Brainwash: Connect to your enemy’s mind, brainwashing them to think that their allies are their enemies, making them attack their allies. (Cooldown 30 seconds, Range 900, Brainwash duration 5 seconds. In PvP, this skill will only last 3 seconds and while brainwashed you will only use auto attack to your allies.)

MH Scepter:

1. Debris: Levitate debris and throw it at your enemy at rapid speeds, causing one stack of bleeding. (0 sec CD, bleed lasts 6 seconds, 3/4 sec cast time, Range 1200)

2. Flood (Channel): Suffocate your enemy by flooding all of their air passages with water, causing blindness every second during the channel. (CD 10 seconds, channel lasts 3 seconds, blindness lasts 3 seconds, Range 1200)

3. Force Bubble: Focus your mind to create a force bubble that pushes back enemies every time they hit you and gives them 3 stacks of vulnerability. (CD 16 seconds, bubble lasts 4 seconds, vulnerability lasts 6 seconds, knockback 350 range, cast time 1 1/2 seconds)

MH Orb:

1. Lingering Pain: Fry up to 3 enemy’s brain by connecting your mind and orb together to unleash a strong blast of heat to the enemies brain. (Range 600, CD 0 seconds, Cast time 1 second)

2. Levitate: Levitate your enemy making them incapable of doing anything for 3 seconds, but also making them not take any damage (with exception of conditions). After 3 seconds, slam your enemy to the ground dealing massive damage. (Cooldown 15 seconds, Range 600, Cast time 1 second, Combo finisher: Blast).

3. Scouring Restriction: Slam your orb into the ground, making magic fly into the cracks of the ground, immobilizing all enemies around you for 3 seconds and applying a stack of poison. (Range 250, Combo Finisher: Blast, Poison duration: 5 seconds, Cooldown: 20 seconds).

OH Orb:

4. Pain Transfer: Damage your mind minorly, but transfering that damage to your enemy and enhancing it greatly, dealing massive damage and dazing your target for 1 1/2 seconds. (Range 600, Cooldown: 20 seconds, Skill Type: Sacrifice)

5. Shake: Shake the ground at a target location with your powers, crippling enemies in the location and dealing damage because of the enemy’s brain being shook rapidly and having rocks fall from the sky. The rocks will daze enemies for .5 seconds. (Range 600, Cooldown: 25 seconds, Combo Field: Force, Cripple duration: 3 seconds).

OH Sword:

4. Judgement: 1st part: Stick your sword into the ground, making a shiny aura shine off the sword granting protection to allies and confusion to enemies. 2nd part: levitate your sword and spin it around the area it is in, damaging and crippling all enemies hit by the sword. (CD 20 seconds, Radius 250,1st part: Lasts 8 seconds, Combo Field: Force, protection lasts 1 second, Confusion lasts 2 seconds. 2nd part: cripple lasts 5 seconds, Radius 250, this ends the combo field of the sword.)

5. Strikes From All Sides: Manipulate your sword to split itself into 5 smaller spiritual swords that stab your targeted enemy repeatedly from all sides, giving 8 stacks of bleed. (Range 900, Swords last 4 seconds, stacks of bleed last 3 seconds per stack, Cooldown 30 seconds, cast time 1 1/2 seconds)

Last but not least, 2h Staff:

1. Radiate: Chain the enemy’s minds together, burning up to 3 enemies at one time. (Cooldown 0 seconds, Range 1200, burning lasts 2 seconds, Cast time 1 second.)

2. Power Pulse: Focus your power into one huge target area, making a forceful pulse from the ground, staggering and interrupting all enemies in the area and dealing massive damage. (Cooldown 10 seconds, Range 1200, Radius 300, Cast Time 3/4 seconds)

3. Destroyer Field: Create a lingering aura around you, burning and weakening all enemies that are around you. (Cooldown 15 seconds, Aura, Aura lasts 5 seconds, Radius 250, Burning/weakness lasts 3 seconds, Burning/weakness stacks duration every second.)

4. Mass Trauma (Channel): Create a strong force around the target area that quickly closes in, crippling and knocking down all enemies in the area. (Cooldown 20 seconds, Combo Field: Force, Knockdown lasts 2 seconds, Channel lasts 3 seconds, Cripple lasts 5 seconds, Range 1200, Radius 250)

5. Whirlpool (Channel): Create a strong tide on the floor that pulls enemies into the whirlpool, interrupting them and applying stacks of chill while they are in the whirlpool. (Cooldown, 30 seconds. Radius: 250, Radius of pull: 300, Chill lasts 1 1/2 seconds per pulse, Combo Field: Water, Range: 1200.)

That is all of the weapon skills now lets get to the utilities. I will seperate the utilities by category, there are 16 utilities.

Sacrifice:

1. Sacrifice of the Bitter Wind: Make all of your conditions last half of the duration for 10 seconds. By doing that, you have created a strong gale around you that knocks down enemies around you. (Gale lasts 3 seconds, anyone in the gale stays knocked down until the gale is gone. Cooldown 45 seconds. Radius: 250. Cast time: 1 1/2 seconds.)

2. Sacrifice of the Vitals: Apply chill and bleed on yourself, but create a hazy aura around you that applies confusion and poison and blindness. (Cooldown 45 seconds, Cast time: 1 1/2 seconds, Hazy aura lasts 5 seconds, confusion, poison, and blindness applies every second to enemies affected by haze. Confusion/poison/blindless lasts 3 seconds)

3. Sacrifice of the Waves: Use your powerful mind to force 3 waves onto all enemies within the range of the waves. The waves will freeze all enemies for 1/2 a second. Freeze yourself for 1 1/2 seconds in order for your mind to collaborate with the waves. (Cooldown 45 seconds, 3 waves hit, stacks frozen. Cast time: 1 1/2 seconds. Waves ignore stability. Wave Range: 450)

4. Sacrifice of the Dominant: Give yourself weakness for 10 seconds because you used all of your power by causing a massive forceful pulse to all enemies in the select area. (Cooldown: 30 seconds. Cast time: 1 second. Range: 900. Radius of damage: 250.)

Control:

1. Slam: Control your enemy’s concience to slam themself to the ground, dealing damage and knocking them down for 1 1/2 seconds. (Cooldown: 30 seconds. Range: 1200)

2. Rock Pummel: Levitate a boulder and hurl the big boulder at the targeted area dealing massive damage and causing bleeding. (Cooldown: 25 seconds. Range: 1200. Radius: 450. Cast time: 3/4 seconds. Bleeding lasts 5 seconds. 2 stacks of bleeding.)

3. Spirit Wall: Lift a barrier from the ground with a magical aura around it, fearing enemies that go near the wall. (Cooldown: 45 seconds. Range: 600. Cast time: 1 second. Fear lasts 1 1/2 seconds.)

4. Stasis (okay, i kinda took this from ME3 but arenanet can change it around, I love stasis :P): Freeze your enemy in place for 3 seconds, but at an expense giving them protection from the magic aura of stasis. (Cooldown: 60 seconds. Range: 900. Cast time: 1 second.)

Weapon Enchantments:

1. Confusious Coating: Give all allies around you a magical aura that makes their next 4 attacks cause confusion. (Cooldown: 45 seconds. Confusion lasts 4 seconds. Radius: 300.)

2. Coating of Death: Gives all allies around you a deathly aura that makes their next 3 attacks cause poison to the enemy. (Cooldown: 45 seconds. Poison lasts 5 seconds. Radius: 300.)

3. Coating of Static: Gives all allies around you a electric aura that makes their next attack daze your enemy. (Cooldown: 60 seconds. Daze does not apply to all enemies if the attack is an AoE. Daze lasts 1 second. Radius: 250)

4. Coating of Bloodshed: Gives all allies around you a bloody aura that makes their next 5 attacks bleed your enemy. (Cooldown: 45 seconds. Bleed lasts 5 seconds. Radius: 250.)

Stopping Power:

1. Holy Rage: Give yourself fury and blind all enemies around you with the great power of light. (Cooldown: 30 seconds. Fury lasts 6 seconds. Blind lasts 5 seconds. Cast time, 1/4 seconds. Radius: 450)

2. Arena of the Dominator: Create a bubble around you that increases all control skills caused by you by .5 seconds. Enemies cannot enter this bubble. (Cooldown: 75 seconds. Bubble lasts 6 seconds. Cast time, 1/2 second. Radius: 150)

3. Melt: Create an area around you that applies poison, bleed, and burn to all enemies in the area. (Cooldown 45 seconds. Area lasts 5 seconds. Bleed/poison/burn lasts 3 seconds. Cast time: 1 second. Radius: 250)

4. Frozen Path: Make your feet turn into ice and freeze the ground around you, applying chill to enemies around you and causing damage every second. (Combo field: Ice. Cooldown: 45 seconds. Cast time: 3/4 seconds. Radius: 200.)

Time for my favorite part, elite skills

1. Time Shift: Slow all of the enemy’s cast time, animations, and cooldown in the target area. (Radius of Time Shift: 450. Duration: 5 seconds. Cooldown: 180 seconds. Range: 1200.)

2. Pillars of Strength: Create 3 big pillars around you that give might to allies and lets out a strong pulse every 3 seconds that pushes back enemies. (Cooldown: 180 seconds. Grants might every 3seconds (1 stack per pillar) Radius of might granting: 200. Radius of push back: 250. Cast time: 2 seconds. Combo Field: Force. Does not work underwater.)

3. Fury of the Dominator: Get infuriated, gaining an aura around you for 15 seconds that grants fury, might, swiftness, and applies bleed and poison to any enemy that hits you. When your fury ends, you shoot 2 big beams of light out of your eyes that deals massive damage to any enemy that gets hit by the beam. The beam can hit multiple targets. (Cooldown: 180 seconds. poison/bleed lasts 2 seconds.)

F1 skill and how it works: Name of F1 skill: Power of Domination: Every time you use a control skill, your bar fills up little by little. Once it is full, press F1 to gain an aura that grants you 2 seconds of quickness

Heals:

1. Mind Link: Heal yourself and all allies for 1/3 of the health you gained. (Cooldown: 30 seconds. Ally heal radius: 250 range)

2. Cry of Fury: Gain health over 8 seconds and fury for 8 seconds. (Cooldown: 25 seconds.)

3. Rejuvinating Winds: Create a windy aura around you that heals you and stacks regeneration every second to allies and yourself. (Cooldown: 35 seconds. Winds lasts for 3 seconds. Radius of winds: 300 range.)

Okay, okay, i know this seems a little bit OP, but im sure arenanet will tweak and nerf it IF they accept it (which they most likely wont). Before you guys start posting that its a horrible idea and it doesnt fit the lore/too much like other classes, blah blah blah, i just want to say that I did this FOR FUN. So please give your input on how you like/dislike my idea I will add underwater combat and traits later. I hope you enjoyed the walls of texts lol

Wow, I can tell you put a lot of thought inot this =D The only thing is that because you sample a few of the other class specifics, it might hurt the distinctions ANet has for the current classes.

But overall, really cool and well thought out!
