Are we ever gonna get new PERMANENT content, or you just going to keep doing things like these temporary 500mb patches, and nearly endless promo of sPvP that not many even like? I would make another toon, but with the 2 80s i have i was running out of hearts constantly after level 30, and i wont make another until we get more quests, because that sucks. There is more than enough room on every map for a ton of quests, and we already have to walk everywhere or (if we can afford it) use wp.

I’m not a fan of being forced to group with either a guild or even a random group to do normal leveling. I’m just here to play a game, not hang out and chat and make friends. While some groups are necessary for some events and i understand that, pretty much everything the devs do now is forcing people to group to kill some big baddie (if it’s not the cash shop stuff)……and that’s it. But that’s also if these events even work. I’m still irked about last fall’s 3 day Halloween event. On my server for the first 2 days it was bugged and no one could do it, then on the last day it finally worked but i didn’t have time, so i had to skip it. You said you had years of content, just didn’t tell us it was all TEMPORARY.

One of the biggest problems seems to be getting karma gear in the 70-80 zones. Many of the places to get this gear are only accessible by beating a major boss, and some of these are ridiculously hard no matter what the number of people attempting it (and gets harder with the rise in numbers fighting it), so no one does them. I have been waiting to get 1 (one) piece of gear from the ‘of the soldier’ group of southern Cursed Shore for nearly a month. I was in groups that tried it 6x, and failed. I won’t do it again, so that level 80 i need it for doesn’t get played. And every day i log on i go right to that toon to check the map, and no one ever captures that point. Enough guildies won’t go there just to help, and probably fail several times, one person get a piece of gear, so it’s pointless asking them. So i log n get on my main to WvW because theres nothing else to do, or i go do something irl.

Just give us some new PERMANENT content. Never thought this game would get so boring so fast.

We’ve been playing around so far this year with a lot of different concepts to see what works for a living world game, and see what players liked and didn’t like. Based on all of your feedback, you’ll be seeing a greater degree of permanent content built into future living world releases in 2013. And of course, some things you’ve seen before may return again, in its current form but updated like SAB or holiday festivals, or in a new form entirely….

We’ve got a few more updates coming more along the lines of what we’ve done so far in the vein of holiday festivals, but as the year progresses we’re going to layer more permanent changes and content as well with each living world release. I’ll toss a blog post up in a couple of weeks that outlines high level, where we’re taking our living world style updates specifically in the future for more clear transparency once we’ve got it all ironed out.

As always all of your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated, we’ll continue to adapt and grow this strategy and concept as we go. As we’ve said before, we’re trying something very new and different here, and in some ways we’re learning along with all of you how we make a living world style game work.
