First you say you believe we should be able to progress in the game by playing the game the way we want. Well then what if I want to play the game solo? I’m not able to finish my daily then because I need to do combos WITH ANOTHER PLAYER. And if I can’t finish my daily then I am not able to get the most powerful rewards because my progress in doing so is now blocked. Therefore, contrary to what they say, the game designers are clearly NOT “committed to the philosophy that you should be able to get the most powerful rewards simply by playing the game the way you want.”

TLDR; My suggestion: Stop saying you believe in a set of values and then suddenly implement a new system that clearly doesn’t reflect those values and instead sodomizes them.

Do dynamic events, other people are around, you will do combos with them despite not being in a party. Do any meta event and you will get this easily.

Thanks for the tip-I’ll definitely be doing this but my point is I shouldn’t HAVE to do this. I often complete events in mid-range areas solo not just to get it for the daily 5 events but also because I just like to run around and see whats up in the world. Other people are rarely around when I do this and because of the new dailies now I must go to hotspots where there are multitudes of people doing events and throw down any combo related skill I have. Like the quote from Matt says, I should be able to enjoy the game however I want and still be able to reap the benefits.

Oh, you also first have to play a class who is actually able to make a combo finisher that works (or rather, is counted). Don’t try with guardian, you will waste you time. Good night.

What if you despise crafting? Again you will be forced to play the game in a way you don’t want, in order to complete that daily.
