since last Update Anet has introduced the rotation for Daily-Archievements. I think this is good, but it could be much better. So we’re doing these tasks every day and I think, it would be a great idea to gather here in this thread many new ideas for monthly and daily tasks. And I hope, Anet will read it and maybe introduce some of them. So, its your turn. Post your ideas.
At first I listened the currently availabe tasks for the Daily and Monthly archievements.
If ther is missing one, dont matter, cause ists already in game^^
Daily:
20x Gather
10x Rezz
15x Dodge-Rolls
10x Craften
5x Event
1x speak with Lorel-merchant
60x Kills
15x different Kill typs
Monthly:
50x WvW-Kills
5x Dungeons
100x Events
500x Salvages
30x JP runs
7x Fractale
X x finish Dailys (don’t now how much)
Now it’s your turn
I will start.
Daily:
1x XXX Ranges swim or dive (no idea what these ranges are in the game LOL, Anet has to introduce this^^)
1x XXX Ranges to jump down
1x pray to each gods of Tyria in Divinitys Reach (/kneel)
5x visit different mas of the world (no cities)
1x visit all city lords (I mean Jennah in Divinitys Reach, the Imperator in Black Citadel, the avatar of te Pale Tree and whatever it is for Norn and Asura^^)

It’s already been done for monthlies but I would like to see 1 or 2 JPs be part of the daily rotation. Maybe add killing champions to dailies or monthlies (they’ve already added kill 5 vets to dailies). Yeah, i’m not being very creative here.
Thats a nice idea…1 JP for Daily…i think, its good.
Killing a champion (or maybe more of them) could be something for Monthly, not for daily in my opinion….but its nice too. For Daily its enough to kill veterans….cause not every Player kills a champion every day i think^^…or when it its added for Daily, 1 champion in maximum. Of course the Dragon-Champions can count also for this.

It’s not a matter of being creative because Anet wants the dailies to be stuff a large percentage of the playing population do naturally or only need go out of their way slightly to complete.
Champion Kill +1
Diving – make it one trick (flip/twist) and you get my +1
X number of combos would be a great one, if it was like dodge/evade and every heart counted toward the total.
Pray to Gods – you’ll get blow back from hard core non-Human players and RPers.
Visit City Lords – This one is a bit more off the beaten path so my suggestion would be to visit your faction lord (though any would do for completion to alleviate programming issues) as a daily and maybe all of them as a monthly.

How do u mean this? By diving or swiming u can’t do any tricks, only when using diving goggles. Do u mean this? I think its good. For getting Daily use one diving goggle point, jump and do a trick.
But my original idea was only to dive or to swim…its easy to get and its done besides normal playing. MAybe u swim to an island or something like this^^
I think both of them are nice ideas for daylies.
Technically one can’t really “dive” in game without the diving goggles, so yes, I meant put on diving goggles and do a flip/twist. Quick and easy right there in LA.
Dailies such as praying to a statue, talking to a NPC and the one we now have for visiting the Laurel Merchant are no good at all. They don’t encourage active play across the world and are so easy to do that they simply become boring after a few repeats. Dailies need to be designed so that they can be completed at any part in the world, limiting it to a city or an NPC is just stupid. I’m hoping that the laurel merchant daily objective gets replaced with something more fun.

2. Mh..i think 10 would be better for daily also for causal players….maybe 50 is to much but…in general ok
3. Not so good, cause maybe u have to buy a dye…i think, this isnt soo great for everyone…its a “must” and u maybe dont get one only by playing^^

I think leveling in this game is extremely fast, just by playing around normally you can get a level in an hour or so, and you will get it even faster if you’re already have way there, hell one dungeon run gives you an entire level worth of exp.
As for 5, you know, the little animals that you can have beside you, minipets.

2) What do you mean? Loot items that are collectively worth 50 silver or literally loot 50 silver? Bit grindy either way.
3) Assuming a good dye droprate. Playing for two hours this morning I received a single dye drop. Grindy.

6) No. Minis cost real money, so by making this a daily requirement, you have effectively introduced a pay2win mechanic.
7) Leave that to the monthlies.
Lol minis DO NOT cost real money, they drop all over especially now with new karma boxes and wintersday events everyone has’em, and you can buy them for 15 silver on TP.
As for looting silver, yes I imagined that as cumulative, if it were to be 10 silver, you can honestly tell me killing 50 mobs during regular play is grindy? But ok I admit its not perfect, the fact that level 80 mobs drop it more than level 10 makes it not really balanced, but hey if nothing its an idea others might expand on or give them new ideas to go on.

The local hero achievements will be zone based so that every day there will be 3 different zones to complete.
Here is the example I see:

1) Kill Variety

4) Resurrecting allies
5) Events

1) Queensdale local hero
– a) events
– b) specic foe kills
– c) discover the jumping puzzle
2) Malchor’s Leap local hero
- a) gathering specific material
- b) events
- c) dodges
3) Sparkfly Fen local hero
- a) kill underwarer
- b) events
- c) resurects
The similar requirements in the zones are counting one after another so doing 5 events in Queensdale will first fill up the basic dailies and than they will count for the Queesdale loca hero
This suggestions does not limit the players with less play time but in the same time will award players who can spand more time in the game making them go in different zones each day.
A new player will feel tempted to go and find the new zones because of the rewards.
Giving 1 Laurel for the Zone dailies needs to raise up a bit the requirements. So the number of events for the basic dailies will be 5, but for the Queesdale will be 10.

Makes more players visit lower level areas, makes old players “help out” at these abandoned “No reward” champions in the world and also while doing it you can maby do some map-exploring with your alts if you are done with your main and much more
Wow I realy do like it alot, but ofcourse still have the usual daily so the ones not bothered with going “back” in the game can earn some Laurels.

Thank you! . Well, the prices for laurel goods can be raised up 2 times so there won’t be much of a difference as it is now. Lowest price 2 laurels, highest price 200 laurels.
As a rule for changing the zones will be :
1 starter zone
1 zone from level 25-50
1 zone from 60 -80
Once there will be more lvl 80 zones, they will add a 4th local hero achievement and the 4th zone will always be from lvl 80 ones

After febr 26 update u will choose what u want to do, therefore I have some more suggestions here.
Dailies
Kill 1 champion
Finish a dungeon
Kill the final fractal boss
Participate in Keg brawl 3 times
Kill 3 enemies in WvW
Use a diving goggle
Open a chest
Finish a jumping puzzle
Buy something on trade post
Daily local hero achievement, amazing idea too. In GW1 the zaishen quests and Nickolas was the local hero achievement We would like, something like that, or anything.
