It is well known that engineers do not get their equipped pistol/rifle/shield bonuses applied to their kit weapons.
So rather than just rant about having these bonuses carry over. How about ArenaNet makes a few new Main Hand equippable items that have their bonuses carry over, but operate as impromptu weapons in their own right.
These are just ideas, so don’t get all uptight about them if you don’t agree. Haters gonna hate, after all.
Flamethrower Kit – Pilot Burner (1H Weapon)
Front barrel assembly of the Flamethrower, that can fire a small burst of flame, to be a limited weapon in its own right.
Barrel Brand – Thrust the searing hot tip, if the burner barrel, against the enemy. (Range: 130)
Flame Spike – Flare the pilot light, into a thrusting flame. (Range: 130, Burning)
Pyro Spray – Fan the pilot light in front of you, burning everybody nearby (Range: 200, Cone)
Elixir Gun – Chem Tank (1H Weapon)
A heavy chemical storage tank, used to carry a variety of liquids for the Elixir gun. It’s heavy weight makes it a useful impromptu weapon.
Tank Thump – Smack the target with the side of your tank. (Range: 130)
Chem Cloud – Open the tank vent, and create a cloud of vapor that causes damage to all nearby targets (Range: 200, PBAoE)
Take a Whiff – Take a sniff from your tank vent, and gain a random boon.
Grenade Kit – Grenade Bandoleer (1H Weapon)
A heavy leather belt, used to carry grenades, also makes for a handy whip type weapon.
Belt Whip – Whip the heavy grenade belt, against your target (Range: 200)
Buckle Snap – Slap the buckle of your belt against your foe, pushing them back (Range: 200, Knockback)
Loop Trip – Trip your foe, by looping your belt around their feet. (Range: 130, Immobilize)
Tool Kit – Tool Box (1H Weapon)
A large metal box, heavy with stored tools, makes for a mighty blunt trauma weapon.
Box Bash – Swing your tool box against your target. (Range: 130)
Box Push – Thrust your box forward, pushing back your foe. (Range: 130, Knockback)
Spill Tools – Spill your tools around you, making it difficult for nearby foes to move (Range: 200 PBAoE, Immobilize)
Bomb Kit – Blast Powder Horn (1H Weapon)
A large power horn, used to hold the explosive powered used in the bomb kit.
Horn Hit – Thump your foe with your power horn. (Range: 130)
Powder Puff – Blow toxic power from your horn, against foes in front of you (Range: 200, cone, poison)
Flash Over – Light a small amount of power from your horn burning and blinding foes around you (Range: 200, blind, burn)
These impromptu weapons will have their bonuses tailored to their respective kits, but who’s bonuses will carry over to whatever kit is employed.
