So I had this idea today whilst getting ready to give my elementalist the same ascended back piece that one of my other characters has. What if instead of having to create two different back pieces because I never really play my other character, being able to take his. This could work with legendary weapons or ascended gear or even one time event gear. Here are some cheesy examples that prove this point.

Tom has a warrior. He gave this warrior the legendary greatsword Eternity a long time ago, but since has been playing his Mesmer more. Tom wishes he hadn’t used eternity on his warrior because he wishes his Mesmer had been able to use it and can not afford another legendary weapon. Should Tom:

A) Cry.
B) Cry.
C) Use his new mystic unbinding agent to be able to switch this (and then cry, but this time with tears of joy.)

If you picked C, you’re right.

NEXT EXAMPLE.

Marco (Polo) had given his necromancer the shattered wing skin, and some Halloween and Christmas armor skins. Marco’s Thief Polo would look awesome in these exact skins and is willing to take the back piece off of his necromancer and give it to his thief. Should he:

A) Rage quit and go play a different game.
B) Use the Mystic Unbinding agent to get these skins.
C) Release the floodgates and start crying.

If you picked B, You get what I’m saying.

I think this could make a lot of money for the company, and also make a lot of players happy. I know I would pay good money for something like this, so please consider it.

If you want to preserve the skin but do not care about the stats you can transmute it on to a white item to make it account bound and then switch it between characters through the bank.

There are no non soulbound white back pieces you can transmute to.

I also think this is a good idea, especially with the coming new ascended gear. Personally, I want to consolidate my stuff one one character that I will play going forward.
