TL:DR Legendary Gathering Tools that are permanent but charge players copper per gather.

This idea comes from the Zelda:TP magic armor. Figure up the cost per gather and have the tool charge the player accordingly.

So currently 100 orichalcum mining uses cost 4 silver. The Legendary(jeweled/rupee/magic) mining pick could charge 4 copper per gather.

This could be a legendary crafting recipe that gives no advantage other than convenience.

LOTRO had a system that you could craft permanent, buffed tools at high levels. One thing I didn’t like was how a) you only had one tool slot and b) more importantly, regular tools didn’t have a limited number of uses.

If there was some ridiculous way to get permanent gathering tools, it could be interesting. Obviously, talking 400 crafting for them or a hefty amount of gold/karma.

And the best thing is, when expansions come along, the level cap is raised and so is crafting level, they’ll be redundant and you’ll have to invest more gold into making a better set, so the money sink aspect isn’t lost.

Personally think this is a minor inconvenience. But a mystic crafting tool would be nice similar to like the mystic salvage kit. But I’m more concern about the master crafting tools that are suppose to give you a greater chance at rare items that I’ve never seen rare components from harvesting with the exception of gem orbs in Orr which at least for me my 1st master pick from the story line reward couldn’t harvest as I got ruined items. Even gems I didn’t really see much difference of at all if any.
