Now I’d like to say, I understand RNG can not be just done away with. It is very profitable for ANET, and I like giving ANET money, and like other people giving ANET money too. Its how they stay afloat and give us all the awesome stuff in GW2 that we all love and enjoy.

New RNG Boxes! A Different kind of luck.

The current Model goes as following…
You obtain via Drops/Gems/Gold RNG Boxes.
You open X Number of Boxes. (X being 5… or 80, what ever it takes)
You stop opening Boxes because you finally got the Weapon Skin Ticket.
You turn it in and you’re happy.

My RNG Box Model Idea.
You obtain via Drops/Gems/Gold like before.
5% Chance; Boxes Drop a Random Non-Account/Soulbound Weapon Skin.
(This means on average within 20 you should get a random skin)
Boxes do still drop ‘trash items’
Boxes have an incredibly low chance to drop something special ONLY obtainable via this box.. That IS soul/account bound.

No one loses, everyone wins.
No more feeling sad/stupid because you bought gems to gamble.

Then after people have opened 100 boxes and still haven’t gotten that super special item, they will still feel sad, cheated and like they wasted their cash. Even if they got 5 of that weapon skin.

Edit: I would personally like to get my rare/special stuff from in game, even time limited, activities, rather that pay real cash in the gem store and most likely still get nothing.

First RNG CAN and WILL be done away with! Anet is trading long term players for short term rewards. Keeping paying customers in the long run is more profitable. Then kitten off current paying customers.
