WvW can get a little stale after dealing with the same equipment after almost a year.
I think spicing it up with some new toys can not only change the pace of the game but also bring in some new strategies outside of the current ones that seem kind of just like a rinse and repeat.
I came up with a new siege weapon this morning after having a little crazy dream. When I woke up and logged on today, the idea kind of sprouted from it.

The design would be similar to a tank, I think with the introduction of the Aetherblade and their steampunk styled ways that the base of the tank itself could be of steampunk design. The cannon on top being very similar to the cannon you can find being used against Teq. (See picture below) But down sized to fit the tank itself. Though I’m sure it could be altered, this is just an idea after all.

The size would probably be about half the size of a siege golem and it would be a mobile anti personnel weapon. The cannon itself would require line of sight aside from it’s 3 ability, so long as you’re far enough back that the shot won’t hit anything. Here were my idea’s for it’s abilities.

2 second global cooldown

Ability 1: Power Shot – Slightly less range than a keep cannon – 1 second cast – deals about 4-5k damage – moderate projectile speed (Slower than a ballista or cannon shot) (3 second cooldown)
Ability 2: Radiation Shot – Same range as power shot – - 1 second cast – deals about 2k damage – moderate projectile speed (Slower than a ballista or cannon shot) – Poison field (4 second duration) (9 second cooldown)
Ability 3: EMP shot – slightly less range than Power/Radiation shot – 2.5 second cast – Deals about 1k-1.5k damage – Slow projectile speed and high arc – 3s daze on impact (25 second cooldown)
Ability 4: Empty
Ability 5-1: Deploy – Makes the MAC stationary (Similar to how a siege tank would in starcraft) – 4 second cast – MAC does not suffer damage or knock back when firing
Ability 5-2: Undeploy – Replaces Deploy when Deploy is used – 4 second cast – Makes the MAC mobile – When undeployed and fires a shot, the MAC suffers 400 knockback and 10% max HP damage.

Little more HP than a ballista.
Requires 70 supply to build normal – 110 supply to build superior.
10% damage vs Doors and Walls – 40% damage vs other siege weapons.
Moves as slow as a siege golem (No energy when inside, so no dodge running)
Can be used with Portals.
