I read something a while ago that the were thinking about this and I came up with an idea.

A condition that makes people take damage while moving
Makes them leave a trail of corruption as they move that lasts X seconds (could function as a combo field? Could have an affect for allies or enemies that enter it?)
Would be a way to track cloaked players.

I already know that they have ‘leaving a trail’ programmed into the game because of Spectral Walk.

I’m personally not a fan of the idea because you can still use skills to move without physically walking (leaps, blinks, etc).
I also highly doubt anet would let us have a way to track people who are stealthed.
Lastly a combo field on top of damage and stealth negation would be too OP.

All of the ideas together would be OP yes, It’s more of a list of possible affects for the skill. Damage while moving was a Guild Wars 1 skill. Just trying to give it a GW2 twist.

What if the new condition functioned more like Barbs or Mark of Pain where it doesn’t do damage on it’s own but instead deals additional armor ignoring damage every time the afflicted target is damaged by an outside source?

They did say that the condition likely won’t be Necro exclusive, though it will be a Necro only condition initially. And this sort of condition would function logicly among other classes too.

Agony: X Damage upon physical damage (stack duration?)

Only procs off initial hit from other damaging conditions per stack. In other words, you apply bleed with a non-damage skill to someone with Agony, the first tick from each stack of your Bleed will trigger Agony all other ticks from Bleed will not. If you apply 5 stacks in one hit, agony will trigger 1 time not 5 since all 5 stacks deal their first hit at the same time. So basicly, applying or reapplying a damaging condition will trigger Agony but the damage from the conditions will not.
