So I had an idea on making use of extra Ascended Rings and Infused Ascended Rings. Perhaps this could apply to ANY Ascended trinkets for those of us who have too many of those, too! I know Ascended Rings are especially easy to come by due to Fractal dailies, and many of us bank, sell or destroy excess trinkets. What if we could do something better with them?

Here’s my suggestion: add Ascended Salvage Kits, which would be a new type of salvage kit that could come from — say — 150-250 standard Fractal Relics and come in stacks of 15 – 25. Though you could use standard salvage kits from basic to Master’s/Mystic to Black Lion kits, these Ascended kits could allow us to break down any Ascended item and absolutely guarantee we get the best possible drops from breaking down Ascended items.

If you break down, say, an Ascended Ring with an Ascended kit, you would be guaranteed:
*3 Globs of Dark Matter
*1 Glob of Ectoplasm (25% chance for 1-2 extra Globs of Ectoplasm)
*3 Orichalcum Ore (25% chance for 2 Orichalcum Ingots instead)
*2 Dragonite Ore (25% chance of 2-3 extra Dragonite Ore)

If you break down that same ring with a salvage kit, you have a CHANCE for the following items, reliant on the kit’s quality:
*1-2 Globs of Dark Matter
*1 Glob of Ectoplasm
*1-2 Orichalcum Ore or 1 Orichalcum Ingots
*1 Dragonite Ore

I was bonking heads with a couple friends of mine and they actually came up with some awesome idea on what we could do with excess Pristine Fractal Relics.
1 Pristine Fractal Relic—
*T6 Material Bag
3 Pristine Relics—
*1 Laurel
*5 T6 Material Bags
5 Pristine Relics—
*2 Laurels
*8 T6 Material Bags & 1 Laurel

..and so on, ramping up to 10, 25, 50 or even 100 Pristine Fractal Relics for increasing rewards. This way, improvements to ascended trinkets and relics are ‘time gated’ in a sense and yet reward you for your time and effort, giving us more options to acquire needed items.
