New profession: Chronomancer
I thought we call that the mesmer.
I just see a chronomancer to have a more can be done with the whole time control and manipulation.
Have more of a caster than a summoner.
Please flesh out more if you want disvussed. Atm far to vague. Give us what weapons you think it should have. What is its profession mechanic and how does it play out. What buffs and debuffs does it favor.
As stated mesmer does contain a fair number of temporal skills. However if you can give chrono a unique way to play that won’t matter.
Few utlity skill ideas for you
Rewind: heal skill removes a condition and heals
Time shear: elite causes an overlapping field of fast and slow time fields that tears at the enemy. Deals damage and strips boons. For each boon strippef applys 2 stacks of bleed
…are doomed to repeat it: utlity adds stacks to a condition already on target.
Dilation field: halts all enemy projectiles while active. Will continue after expires so you better move.
Dust to dust:teleport to down enemy and start finisher. In pve teleport to enemy with <25% health do double damage. Acts like pve version if no downed player nearby
I hope the design team can come up with something more creative than this.
Please, no time travel or its equivalents…
As much as people mistaken the Chronomancer, and as much as the chronomancer is a great class and I would love to see it put into the game, it wont be.
I can not find the link or article or post that quotes this, but Arena Net Developer did say in an interview I believe that the chronomancer will not be used as a profession in Guild wars 2.
