Chaos magician: Wouldn’t it be epic to have a mage that uses the rare and unknown chaos magic? I do not have many ideas about it, but hey, we got a creative fanbase here. But basicly it would go light armor magician profession.

Dervish (well duh) from gw1, the beloved class everyone liked and would be heavy armor and scythe weapon. (or bring paragon/ritualist to medium armor)

I’d love to have the Ritualist and/or Dervish make a return, or perhaps a new profession like a ‘Jumper’, which manipulates time, has a main trait line which reduces the recharge time of skills (or cast time), and uses movement to escape enemies. Sort of like a Mesmer/thief combination.

Forever a supporter of more male skimpy armor

I reallt don’t want new professions. The current ones are enough, and not really developed to full extend.
Ritualist can be integrated within necro, and dervish within guardian/warrior.

I’d rather see they exted current classes, as they really lack depth and are quite shallow.

Ritualist would be nice to see, summoning spirits.

Mesmers handle the chaos magic system already.

I personally would love to see some sortof Bard, Monk, Runepriest, Artificer.

runepriests cast runes and do AOEs they do alot of healing and removal of conditions using runes and glyphs.

Artificer is an old DnD concept it’s a magic user that makes use of magic items more then anything else, they would be the magic version of an engineer, devices that are solely magic based kits that would revolve around infusing items with special abilities that are not elemental. They’d do alot of prep prior to going into battle or they could use the f1-f4 keys to switch between 4 aspects like Healing infusion which would change the skills to support/curing on the weapons they use, or Resistive Infusion that would give the weapons both a protection/CC capabilities, Boon Infusion would give the weapons a boon/condition skills, and Alteration infusion which is the most fun imo because it allows the weapons to make changes to the environment. Well really all the weapons would allow that.

For example the healing infusion could allow the artificer to drop a delayed potion field that would remove conditions and create a regen/water field when triggered by a friendly or party member. With the boon infusion a potion zone could cause the players in the zone to crit more often, fury stacking perhaps. Or with the alteration infusion summons could be weakened and or broken like those of the necromancer the turrets and the spirits the enemies summoned.

Thinking boon/condition type class with alot of meta controls.

Personally I think the classes they have now is enough and they should just expand on them to make them more awesome. But if they do add another class I would want it to be another heavy. Since we have 3 light, 3 medium, and only 2 heavy it would balance it more.

The mesmer alrday deals with chaos magic. Thanks.

My suggestion for a new class (if any) would be some sort of vampire – ish. Using different skills on day and night. More supportive during day and more offensive during night. A light or medium armor class. maybe having a dire wolf or Bat as a companion at night. Or parhaps become something of a werewolf-ish creature at night, getting a somewhat different, more grim apperance…. Just thinking out loud again….

A good and helpful member of Kryta with this somewhat hard to handle lust for – BLOOD at night… " I just wanna help but no, now comes this THIRST again, well I can still be “helpful…”
Weapons could be Staff, short sword, dagger, Cepter, focus, shield, axe…

The devs have said they have no plans to add new classes, as the current classes currently support all the roles they want. I’d also rather not see a new class, since that just increases the amount of work needed for everything else…

The fact the current ones are a mess balance wise means this wouldnt happen. I do think that the game news the odd new/fresh profession as its kind of getting a bit stale, i have all the classes i want to play, Yet i am struggling to WANT to play them now they are all level 80.

Mesmer: Shortbow

We already have Greatsword, Scepter and Staff for Mid-Long range weapons. What i would like to see Daggers for both MH and OF or Hammer as we really only have Sword as the melee weapon.

mesmer doesnt use chaos magic? He is using illuminations and mind twists, chaos magic is a whole new element of magic.

Well, new characters or double the amount of skills. More variability like gw1 had.

Except that there are only 4 schools of magic which are aggression, destruction, preservation, and denial . With the separation of the bloodstones no individual can have access to more than 1 school of magic .

i dont know about necro style but ive had an idea using the atunement system for a heavy.

A Heavy class that “attunes” itself to either offense or defensive roles. Its class mechanic would be to have an offensive and defensive chant that would switch weapon skills based on it . It would have a medium base health and have the following weapons
Main hand
Sword,Axe,
Off hand
Dagger,Shield,Sword,Mace
2 hand
Longbow,Hammer
An example of offensive vs defensive chant might be
Sword Dagger offense grants a chance at poisoning a foe on dagger strikes and is purely offensive where as Sword Dagger defense grants a chance at stability every so many seconds and has more block/evade skills

This is a pretty neat idea. I picture it to be similar to how ele attunes to its different elements and only allow it to have one weapon set at a time. Could even maybe be Offense, Defense, Support if they feel like just offense vs defense isn’t enough. Offense could grant might and damage conditions. Defense stability and blocks. Lastly support could remove conditions and regen.

That’s kind of the idea . I don’t want to give it the support chant though as I feel it would upset balance . Instead I would give it limited support skills in the utility slots . its ment more as a jack of all trades master of none in the heavy category .
