Anyone else feel like Anet should make some new weapons skins that actually look good (like the new champ ones but unlike the new living story ones) that are not based on rng. I know i can buy the weapons off the tp but i like to be able to get the pieces necessary and assemble the weapon in the mystic forge instead of just farming a huge sum of gold all at once. IMO we need more skins that are crafted like legendaries or exotics like foefire’s weps, destroyer weps, mesmer weps (vision of the mists) instead of RNG.
RNG isnt bad when its implemented this way. I like fighting a champion thinking “oh cool I have a shot at this rare weapon”. I dont however like RNG when its like “ok so im spending 20 dollars on gems to buy some RNG boxes……1 minute later…..&%*^ I didnt get anything.”
Those weapons are tradable. You can if you want, just wait for their price in the TP to stabilize and buy one there for a fixed non RNG gold price along with a fixed 99.999% chance to receive the weapon you want.

And again the only thing you have to do is gold farming. Almost everything work in this way, even legendaries.
You can farm champions, but you can also farm sparks for charged lodestones.
“Oh cool i have a shot at this rare weapon” counts for the first three attempts.
“Oh cool i just spent 20 dollars to buy the weapon, without rng” works.
Edit: Im not saying this is bad or good, but most of the time you do better to buy stuff from the tp (catchers come to my mind). It kills rng factor and possibly the fun.
People don’t seem to realize that every aspect of drops in this game is based on RNG. You can’t get around it, you can’t get rid of it. Even the items on the trading post, at some point, dropped at random for somebody. Please, feel free to farm, feel free to post on TP, feel free to by from the TP, but please stop complaining about a key aspect of the game. And as far as the RNG boxes go, I have only one thing to say… If you haven’t realized by now that the odds are stacked against you for getting anything good out of them, then you should have. The only person to blame for actually buying them is yourself. That being said, if you don’t like RNG boxes, then don’t buy them, no matter what may be in them.
