Nicholas Sandford and Professor Yakkington
Their graves would be buried under a pile of junk in days.
I don’t think the current mechanics would support it, though. Everything in the game is soloable, areas are too easy to reach, and trophy items are too reliable a drop to be anywhere near the challenge that nick farming use to be.
The only way to make this kind of thing be an investment is requiring full stacks of stuff, and the very idea is just a massive turnoff.
I didn’t know there was a grave though, where is it? Wouldn’t mind paying my respects.
It’s in Ebonhawke, in Fields of Ruin. You can get there via Asura Gate from Queensdale.
Yeah I suppose, but if the limit was still 5 gifts, and each gift cost say 25 trophies I don’t think it would be too bad. It was just an idea as I used to love collecting the items for nick after I had completed the story modes. It was something different to doing the typical endgame stuff (doa/fow/uw) :}
I’d rather have descendant of both Nicholas and Yakkington appearing in a random map every week, asking for anything from junk to event trophies you can get either only during an event or still after finishing a heart (some stop dropping, so all would keep dropping so you can still gather thme for him) instead them being in a fixed spot asking just for junk.
So even if getting the trophy would be relatively easy, you would still have to get to them. And they could sometimes appear at the end of jumping puzzles or very, VERY hidden spots like the secret garden in The Grove or the secret treasure cave in Bloodtide Coast.

I would like to see a return on nick, but I prefer Mithran’s suggestion. The illusiveness of Nick’s position in the world and spending time getting to his new spot was part of the reason why I loved doing the traveller quests in GW1.
