Guild Wars 2

I have been playing GW2 since the beta weekends, and I made a suggestion back then, but nobody seems to have the same problem I do.
My problem is this- When I play an RPG, I like to play as an old man, a grizzled warrior type. A Ron Pearlman or Tommy Lee Jones type. But Guild Wars seems to not want to facilitate that. All humans have young, teenage looking faces, and if you want to play as an aging warrior or a battle hardened veteran, you HAVE to play as a Norn, which only have 2 faces that fit the bill.

I find this very restricting, and a bit disappointing. I would just like to suggest an additional 2 or 3 faces to the human males AND females. Faces that aren’t beautiful, but have character and age. Maybe add some chubby or muscular body types for women, and the same for men. Maybe a hairy body for men too.

These additions alone would make this above and beyond the best MMO and one of the best RPGs I have ever played, and would make it much easier to become immersed.

..and voices. I understood why less voices due from the dev explanation, but it puts me off when my tough, grizzled Druss the legend style toon sounds like hugh grant and looks like santa in his 20s…

If it can ever be implemented, it would be welcomed

I agree, they have such decent faces for their art but use only boy-faces in the game

also Norn & Human need more beards imho; I favoured the GW1-Norn and there isn’t 1 beard which resembles those.

I would like if there were more human beards like the norn beards. My warrior looks like a young Santa as well. I used the Clint Eastwood face. You know the one. But it doesn’t help.

Voices don’t bother me as much, but it wouldn’t hurt to have more gruff voices, I absolutely agree.

Sorry for the double post, but I would also like to mention that there are several NPCs with interesting worn, or older faces, and not just the personal story characters, but just atmospheric NPCs and shop keepers that have older looking faces. Why can’t we just have access to those faces in creation as well? It wouldn’t be that hard would it?

I for one would like to play with the Big Nose Ted face in the character editor. He reminds me of Jeremy Renner for some reason, and I think it would be great to have that face in the editor or a similar one.

Thing is, there are not enough resources for humans since the Charr took away most of their lands and the fights with the centaurs became more frequent, so Queen Jenna issued a royal decree that as soon as any human turns 30 he or she is sent to the underground crypts where they play a game for a chance to be reincarnated on the next character that is created by a player.

It’s all very secret, and I might dissapear anytime soon for letting you all know it!!!

Lol. The Queen looks like a Disney teen anyways, I don’t think people should listen to her. Should be Princess Jenna.
