I was wondering why I couldn’t have Deborah from the Dead Sister quest to join as an Npc Companion for solo work. She should be a warrior that starts as the same level as you with unspent skill points and talent points. She should have 3 distinct modes to choose from, Defensive, Offensive and Long Range. Not everyone might have this quest, however simply rescuing her even if not from the Dead Sister quest she would still join you after you rescue her. Any helpful positive suggestions beyond this would be helpful.

No, please…I’m glad they got rid of henchmen and heroes, the AIs were always fairly stupid and sometimes more of a liability than a help.

However, I’m pretty sure ArenaNet won’t do this, anyway. They made almost everything in this game able to be soloed for a reason.

Bron, the NPC"s and Ai were as stupid as the person controlling them….Just saying, there wasnt anything wrong with it in gw1 if you knew how to…ANyway,Hero’s have no place in gw2 as of now, everything is soloable, and the things you can do with other people, should be left to do with other people, and not to create an even larger barrier to the ingame community as people will solo ALL dungeons, alone, with Hero’s,there will be less communciation, and less grouping up.

Agreed, that is the trend Guild Wars 1 took when they allowed people to have up to 7 heroes. People rarely grouped up anymore, myself included. It was just easier to add 7 heroes than wait around several minutes to find someone.

Rather than having the NPC Deborah, I would like to steal Phantasy Star Online 2’s partner system so you could pick any two of your OTHER characters on account (not friend characters, would take too much work), to join you in a party. They would be artifically boosted to your level, but are wearing whatever gear they had before you turned them into AI partners. They would be controlled by AI to attempt combos, and attempt weapon swapping if appropriate. If a real person joins your party, then the two AI members are automatically dismissed.

To balance it out, AI partners have their health doubled to reflect that they have stupid reaction times for dodging or avoiding attacks, but have their attack strength halved or more.
