Out of combat weapon slots

I would like to have more OUT OF COMBAT weapon slots for all professions.

One possibility is the 4 choices like in Guild Wars 1. While OOC you click on a choice both to select and deselect. Once IN COMBAT the choice(s) are locked. The Ele and the Engineer still have only one weapon and can’t switch again until OOC.

This would have multiple benefits for all professions.

1. it would encourage using weapons depending on what is coming up rather than staying with the same set continuously.
2. Having to stop and dig around in the inventory discourages people from trying out different weapons. Staying with the same weapons all the time instead of switching around makes combat stale.
3. it would free up inventory slots for all the professions.
4. it would keep the weapons better organized. Now if you swap them using the inventory, they go to different places each time which makes them hard to find and increases the chance they will be sold or salvaged.

i dont think itll work as well because the weapons and build tend to go hand in hand for most classes, for engi and ele it would be a blessing but more a side option for other classes imo

As a guardian, I actually would benefit from OOC slots because I wouldn’t be forced to open my inventory countless time to switch my weapon sets before an upcoming fight.

I’d definitely use this on my Guardian if it existed; I regularly switch between about 4 different weapon combinations depending on the content I’m playing. That said, it would only be a minor convenience.

If this were implemented, I would definitely want to be able to set different trait selections for each weapon set, too (same point allocation, just changing the abilities in the major trait slots as you can already do OOC). And it should probably allow switching armor and trinkets as well.
